You get what u pay for ... Great value, lovely well kept grounds. First it's only a small walk from the coach drop off to the reception and yes they could do with more reception staff on check in days as you can wait a while. The first room we had was at the side of the hotel and quite dark, tv broken and no air conditioning, ants in room as it was ground floor. Asked to change rooms and was moved following day to a fantastic 1st floor room, flat screen tv walk in shower and air conditioning,
Large balcony that looked out over one of the heated pools. Food at the Speciality restaurants was great and well worth a visit, traditional moroccon food, great pizza and tasty at the steakhouse. Main restaurant had good selection of food everyday, egg man a must for breakfast. There can be a shortage of cutlery and cups at certain times, we did find tables were being reserved by the waiters for some people and later found out that if you tip them they keep you a table bring drinks for you. The pools were all lovely and clean. Hatim our rep was fantastic, gives great advice on do's & don'ts and always available to help and was very friendly. Beach is only a 5 minute walk through the back entrance of the hotel and a walk into the town takes about 15 minutes. A walk on the promenade is a must but Sundays are very very busy with locals and tourists. Bird zoo is a lovely place to visit. We were at first a bit unsure about this place after reading some reviews but we would definitely come back again. We came back march 24 and by 27 looking for dates to go back for next year. My wife loved the heated pools and did a few laps in the early morning. My son got plenty attention from various people at the resort.very impressed with how clean and tidy the resort was, yes it does need a touch up but there are always people doing some sort of work. Animation team were very good, and not pushy.overall a good holiday and great value for money.if u want something more up market then go pay the extra money. We will be back.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room stay away from main pool area.

Just returned from a week here & was dreading it after reading reviews just before we went. Hotel is in need of a major refurbishment as decor is extremely dated. Our room was clean which is most important thing for me & all staff where lovely. The resort has beautiful well kept gardens, pools, bars, tennis courts, crazy golf, a kids play area & an animation team who continuosly keep everyone entertained. Food is pretty basic so we ate out on quite a few occasions. Hotel is very close to the beautiful beach and they have their own private area for hotel guests which has drinks available. Apparently you can also order sandwiches from reception in advance if you want to take a snack with you to the beach! Other than the decor needed updating & maybe more food variety in the restaurant, this hotel has great outdoor facilities. Would say that some of the rooms involve quite a trek to get to so not great for anyone with mobility issues however im sure they could request a ground level room.

My husband sister and I just returned from this resort, I was really worried I have to say because of all the negative reviews I read..!! But hey..yes the rooms are tired, basic, BUT very clean, and the showers superb. Pillows little hard, towels bit worn and grey, bedding tired, but clean , bed comfy enough, good storage space.the reception is like Art Deco red and black,it was ok, you could lounge there, have coffee, drink, wifi, pool table, generally chill. The dining good selection of al la carte, the steak house lovely food, and you can visit each 1 per stay, so out of 7 nights you could do 5 diff, restaurants. The snack bar for burger, chips etc good clean, the main dining hall nice, food is kinda repetitive but you would not starve ! The staff are very pleasant and helpful, the negativity if you like is the cups run out very quickly .. But we worked this out due to the French taking 3 at a time for coffee, milk, for bread dunking , and yoghurt !!! The food if not hot enough... Use the microwave ... Now .. Lots to do all day if you wanted, the animation team brill. Aqua gym ,ping-pong, darts, games, all good fun ..night times they put on an animation show ... In the amphitheatre good fun.disco ,karaoke 1 night a week, dancing all until midnight, then in to club if you wanted to carry on the night.(paying bar) though. The beach was a 6-7 min walk away but fine.lots shops and stalls on site nice people. For what we paid I would truly recommend this all inclusive hotel. The only negative really is there are lots of steps, although disabled access there ..our room had 48 steps to go up to get there!! But hey what else really did we have to do!! I would recommend this hotel and now know really all reviews are not true to form ... Thank you to the agador for entertaining us.

Room Tip: Maybe take your own cup/mug, and also travel kettle, coffee, tea and powder milk .. As no beverage fa...

This time last year, we took a First Choice all inclusive in Marrakech. We couldn't fault it, so this year we booked with First Choice again but this time to Agadir. We made a mistake.

We arrived at the hotel at around 1pm, dragged our cases about 100yds from the bus to the main entrance and booked in without any problems.

Our room had quite obviously not been cleaned, the bins were full, the last occupants left overs were scattered around and the general state of repair was terrible. There were broken wall and floor tiles, holes in walls, faulty lights in hallway and a light in the bathroom dangled suspended only by its cable.

We spoke with our Rep and were promised a move in the morning but actually got moved by around 8pm. Our new room was right down the other end of the resort and near to the Tamlett reception and up 32 steps of the stairway.
The room was not fantastic but a big improvement over the initial offering.

Our room was made up and cleaned daily and we have no issues with this. Ayisha was our housekeeper and was lovely.

Food at the complex was boring, tasteless and repetitive. During most services, the staff failed to keep up with demand for crockery and cutlery and on several occasions, we found dirty cutlery in the trays. If you wanted cheese at the pasta station, you had to ask the server who had it secreted below the counter and reluctantly dished out small portions.

There were two bread baskets and I can remember four times when there was no bread to be had. The cheese slices were scattered onto trays a few at a time, the soft cheese ran out, the omelettes were still raw egg inside and very often, it was necessary to ask for butter as there was none for the taking.

Very often, the coffee was not hot and I can only assume that this was because it was topped up from buckets that sat on the floor behind the drinks urns. We watched waiters tipping glasses of red wine back into the serving jugs, we can't verify this but can only assume the glasses had been cleared from tables.

Drinks were served in very smelly plastic tumblers, not only at the pool bar but also at the main bar near reception. Worse still was that I was served a Brandy in one of those disposable polythene picnic cups. The shortage of real glass was alleviated by the introduction of a large tip to the barman, this also allowed a little queue jumping.

I could keep moaning about this place for an age but will bore you no longer.

Having spoken with guests that have holidayed here year after year, the general feeling is that the place has been getting progressively worse on each visit and quite a few people will not be returning.

We will return to Agadir as we liked the area but will not use this hotel again.

As a foot note, if you don't like steps, stay away from here. It appears almost as if they have created steps for the sole purpose of doing so.

Have fun.

Firstly, do not be foolish and use the first bureau de change you see when you enter Agadir airport! Once you have your luggage and near the exit, the exchange the rate is MUCH better.

Carribean Village Agador was clean. Our room was perfectly fine for our needs although 4 storeys up, it's a lot of effort (but we are young).

The cleaners enter your room without knocking, about 3 times a day, at random times so be careful! We were caught a couple of times. Very pleasant ladies though. My partner really cut his toe open one day as the cleaners seem to throw a bucket of water on the tiles and no signs. He fell and cut it open.

The pool guy is fabulous! The most helpful man in Agadir, I think. If you need a sunbed or a parasol, he will sort it.

We didn't do anything with the Animation team but people seemed to really enjoy their work and they appeared friendly.

Our Thomson rep, Hatim, was amazing. Really good advice and always available. Brilliant rep.

The one thing that really, REALLY lets this hotel down, and will stop us visiting here again is the bar and restaurant staff. They are miserable, unhelpful and I was pushed a lot by male staff in the restaurant. The thing is, they expect a tip before they give you good service. We will not tip, unless we see the good service. We tipped the people that were helpful and friendly but there was no way we were going to give money to people that were downright rude. It got to the point where I did not want to go in the restaurant.

Food here is ok, not a great amount of choice, especially at breakfast. A la carte restaurants worth a go.

Don't get me wrong, we did have a great week and the holiday was worth the money.

We did the buggy adventure, camel trekking and fantasia dinner. All worth the money. We enjoyed a massage in the Spa at the hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a ground floor room.

The only thing that ruins this hotel is the pool bar staff and waiters in the restaurant who are miserable (most of them). When we asked how we could get a smile with our beer the barman gave us the tip box! We did tip but it gets a bit much on an all inclusive to constantly be paying for good service. Hotel is lovely and clean, beautiful grounds...food is ok, some nights better than others. Themed restaurants all worth a try. Pools lovely and clean, pool man an absolute diamond. Animation team are amazing,we took 3 kids aged 4,13 & 17. Not too much for little one but hes happy in the pool...
On arrival we were put in top floor room, asked for another room, had to wait 2 days then got a ground poolside room....
Overall we had a great holiday and would return....
