“Hotel & Spa Agadir”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Hotel was clean and spotless, staff generally very friendly. Rooms a good size, beds average. Breakfast was good and a good selection of choice. Bar and restaurant service were hit and miss sorry to say, food took a long time to arrive and on one occasion drinks did not arrive, this could be down to confusing at the bar tho. Beach is a short walk (5-10 mins) from the hotel. The location is quiet as it is away from the beachfront and other hotels. There are several new hotels coming up for completion so this will hopefully bring a few more shops and services to the area.
Overall good enjoyable and quiet break just what the doctor ordered.

Room Tip: The top floor for the best views

We have just come back from a week in this hotel and have had a wonderful holiday! We have no complaints about the hotel and have never been anywhere so clean and the staff are very friendly.. It is a short walk from the beach and main restaurants etc but we personally enjoy a walk and the couple of times we used a taxi it was incredibly cheap anyway. I would highly recommend this hotel but make sure you do a trip to Marrakesh too as this is an experience!!

Room Tip: The room was fantastic but we did have 2 twin beds on wheels so if you are a couple make sure it is...

i really enjoyed my trip to agadir in july. i celebrated my birthday whilst there and my other half told the dining staff and they turned out the lights and brought me a cake and candles and sang happy birthday! very embarrassing but much appreciated.

we had to wait ages at check in (an hour) which really took the shine off our arrival. also unlike other reviewers on tripadvisor we were not offered any refreshments. if we'd chosen a top floor room we wouldn't have waited but people have said it gets too hot (there's no roof over the balcony on top floor rooms.)

the pool is lovely, the food is fantastic especially breakfast and the desserts. i loved all the fresh fruit and fresh juices and as we were half board it was all 'free'!!! there's a 'library' on the ground floor near the toilets past the staircase where people leave behind their books and magazines and newspapers and there's loads of choice and many different languages.
I didn't get to try a massage but i did use the sauna - it's free so take advantage, it's very relaxing and private.

it didn't really matter that ramadan fell during our stay. we never struggled to get a taxi - we walked 2 minutes to the main road to avoid being ripped off. tip: always greet the driver with 'salam al akoum' and insist on the meter being turned on. just point to it if they can't understand you.

unfortunately the weather sucked for half our stay - grey skies all day long. warm but no sunshine at all so no sunbathing.

i really enjoyed staying in a small hotel instead of a farm like big hotel. it wasn't expensive either - £500 total for 2 people in a four star hotel for seven nights half board is great value. we booked directly through the hotels website.

the room itself was perfect - nice big tv - massive comfy bed and sofa, balcony with outside light table and chairs and sea view but as it's so far away (7 minute walk) you can barely see anything

the bathroom was nice but the shower pressure was a little low. the free toiletries are great quality - i suggest you use the body lotion, it's infused with argan oil and way to good to be giving away for free! i wish i knew where to buy some!

so basically we had a great time and although we won't be going back to agadir it's nothing to do with the hotel as it was great and i strongly recommend you stay here instead of the large impersonal hotels, i'm sure i wouldn't have had a better stay anywhere else for the price we paid.

salam al akoum!

My first thoughts on arrival was that the hotel location was not ideal and there did not appear to be much in the nearby area as there was development The hotel itself was average compared to other 4* rated hotels I have stayed at however my experience there outweighed any flaws, the service and staff were excellent and always at hand to help especially Naima and Tariq who made our stay enjoyable. We stayed on a b&b basis and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The rooms were pretty standard and cleaned daily, although there was an unpleasant smell in our room throughout our stay. The hotel is perfect if your looking for a relaxing peaceful break, as there is not much of an atmosphere in the hotel and generally not many guests in bar area. It is a 5 minute walk from the beach however the bars/ restaurants on the beach front are approx 45 minutes to walk, however is only a 5 minute taxi ride, and you generally need taxis to get around places to and from the hotel. Overall an enjoyable stay and would definately return in the future

Unlike the vast majority of hotels in Agadir, this one is intimate. Only 58 rooms and those are very nicely situated overlooking the pool and central courtyard. Ours appeared to have been recently renovated and was comfortable and spacious. The view from the balcony was slightly marred by the big hotels in the distance but you could still see the Sea, Room number 20 and i would be happy to stay there again.

the food was plentiful and varied, with enough availabe at every meal for the most fussy of eaters. drinks wer not a silly price, £12 for 2 Gin and tonics, but they were hand poured and I would suggest were at least triples.

The staff were friendly, courteous and ever helpful. the majority had a modicum of english and the reception staff and maitre D were fully conversant. I do not think I saw a frown at any time during the stay and they were ever helpful with advice and guidance. travelled with thomsons and SAad our rep was there when you needed him but not intrusive.

5 Minute walk to the beach and promenade, we stayed in Aagdir 8 years ago and the developments for tourism include a promenade running the entire length of the beach.

I would recommend that anyone who wants a quite relaxed and great break then stay here, possibly not great for kids.

Room Tip: Room 20 is a great room with a lovely view

My wife and I have just returned from 7 days at the Hotel Timoulay. It's location is to the southern end of the resort of Agadir and whilst it isn't on the beach it really is only 500m walk. Written found the Hotel to be quiet (which was what we wanted) and the staff were all polite and friendly. We stayed on a b&b basis but chose to eat here for 4 of our 7 nights. The food at all times was excellent. All rooms appear to have either a pool or pool and sea view.
Around the Hotel there were a number of partly built hotels that didn't appear to have any work being carried out on them but they don't detract from the calmness of the Timoulay.
The rooms were cleaned everyday and the Hotel provided towels for pool use or to be taken to the beach. At the beach we gother two sunbeds with a shade for 40 dhms -that's about 3 quid for the day so not exactly expensive. Nearest shops and restaurants were about 15 mins walk or you can get a local taxi into town for 20 dhms.
All in all a good, clean restfull location and I would definitely recommend to those wanting a quiet holiday.

Spent a nice and relaxing week at Timoulay. Very comfortable, quiet and clean, friendly reception staff, and great facilities - pool, beach towels, library, and restaurant (hearty lunches and an amazing breakfast buffet spread, including made-to-order pancakes, waffles and omelettes). Location is pretty good, in a quiet spot, slightly up from the beach (3 minutes walk), and a 15 minute walk to some decent restaurants (like Little Norway, La Scala, Maxwell's, etc). Also about a 15-20 minute walk to Robinson's Hotel/Resort, where there's a good surf school (called Taddanga).
