Just returned from a week at Tikida Beach, Without exception all the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The accomodation was very well maintained and very clean. The animations team were not overly pushy when trying to get you involved, they remembered names and would have a joke and a chat. When we left they even came over to say good-bye to all those leaving. We cannot fault the food in any restaurant as the quality was always very good. The location to the beach is amazing. One vital point REQUEST QUIET rooms when booking, the nightclub and Zanzibar bar are very noisy if you are trying to sleep above, we were in 209/211 they were very quiet.
Would go back again, well done everyone there they should be very proud.

My wife and I stayed here for one week from the 19th September and had a great time
We had room 223, which is at the side of the hotel so no disco noise
Food, staff and cleanliness were very good and I would recommend this hotel to anyone
I do feel that brochures should mention the `mist` that occurs mainly in July and August, we had it for one full day while we were there, but it didn`t spoil the holiday
Never went on any trips as we tend not to on a weeks holiday
Very nice hotel

Room Tip: We had side room 223, nice and quiet, not much of a view from the balcony, but we could see the sea...

Very good, modern hotel with fabulous pool area, and right next to a very long, sandy beach. The bedroom we got was large, overlooked the pool and had a balcony. Air conditioned, sofa, twin beds, separate loo and bathroom - shower is hand held type in bath, but no problem. Towels supplied at pool. Possible to have all meals outside, sitting by pool. Choice of 3 restaurants for dinner - main dining room buffet style - lots of choice - and set menus in both fish and Moroccan restaurants. Breakfast - loads of choice, very good. The day leisure activities are pretty basic, evening entertainment is mixed quality. Very good spa / thalassotherapy area, a little pricey. Location is on a "hotel strip" but is great for a stroll along promenade next to sea. Ideal for a 7 day break.

Room Tip: Ensure you do NOT get a room above the disco! Email the hotel in advance of arriving and ask them fo...

Hi, I would recommend this hotel!!!!!

Myself, partner, Cousin and her partner went here for 11 nights 12 days, from 6th Oct

We had the most amazing holiday. We were there 2 days and we felt like we had been there for a week already which means we relaxed instantly!

Our flight was delayed 3 hours so our holiday started at the airport drinks were flowing lovely :)

We arrived at the Tikida Beach hotel at about 1.30 in the morning. We had a nice warm welcome! Although we arrived late and it was too late for food the hotel had put a nice salad with cheese and meats in the fridge in the rooms.

Rooms were lovely and clean, towels were replaced daily and bottle water were replaced daily. we had a room on the side of the hotel so we could see part of the island but not that much of a great view. It does show you do have to pay that little extra but that was not a concern of ours the room was there for sleeping in not just sit on the balcony all day and night.

Safe was free which made a change to other places we had been too

The weather was fantastic between 34 and 36℃ there was a couple of days which were over cast, but even when is was over cast it was still a nice heat to walk around and do your shopping without getting cold or over heating.

The entertainment in the evening was good, we did think that it should be a little more lively after the main entertainment finished. Only a slight down side, but we were out of season.

The entertainers during the day were fab, they would ask if you wanted to join in with the fun they had planned but if you said not today they would not ask again. So friendly and like to giggle. Betty :) x

Gosh the drinks well what can I say you can really get your monies worth. Large measures, and you can drink beer, wine and cocktails till your happily content.

Clubs they are an experience we went to both they are so expensive (example 5 beers £30) but you cant comment until you have tried.

The food is amazing such a huge variety, there is something for everyone! Even chips (eat as much as you like) My cousin recommends the biscuits, she could not stay away! :)
There is a down side for the evening meal for men they have to wear trousers/jeans NOT shorts.
I can say the boys were not happy about this as it was too warm!!!

Pool is cold but so refreshing, especially if you are a little hangover.

All I can say is it is wonderful for Couples, Family's, and small grouped Friends.

I cant wait to go back and see all those lovely friendly faces!!!!!! I will recommend to all my family and friends. loved it..

Love to all at the hotel.

xxxxx

Room Tip: Ask not to be put near the clubs, we weren't but I can imagine that it is loud!

Myself and my partner went here for a week at the end of September. We had a lovely time although were a little disappointed with the weather, as when it was overcast it was quite cold and sometimes didn't clear up all day. However when it was sunny, it was very hot and even with the few overcast days we had, we managed to get a tan!

The hotel room was very big and was cleaned every day. The room and the hotel in general was very clean which is a big must for me on a holiday!

We were very impressed with the food and in particular the Moroccan and fish restaurants. The fish restaurant was our favourite and very romantic. The Moroccan restaurant is a great experience, you get seated with other hotel guests and the food is gorgeous. Both restaurants are part of all inclusive and we preferred to eat in these every night than the main buffet dinner.

We did find the beach sellers annoying and we had to say no thank you quite a few times before they left us alone. I found it quite annoying when i first got there, having not experienced it before but you get used to it and just say no thank you to them, sometimes quite strongly!

Whilst there we did a few of the excursions. The catamaran trip was great and we were lucky because the afternoon we went, the weather was beautiful. Great value for money because it was for around two and a half hours.

The Atlas by 4x4s trip is a must! It is an all day trip and you get to see some amazing sights. The food at the hotel we stopped at on the trip was okay but not as good as at the Riu.

We also did the Taradant trip. This was a real eye opener for us especially going into the Souk. We were followed around and some people in our group were followed out of the Souk being asked for money, which was a little off putting.

I think if you want extra special treatment at the hotel, you must tip. Now the staff aren't rude and if you ask for something they will oblige however we did notice some guests were treated differently because they tipped.

Most of the time we stayed on the beach rather than the pool. Even though there are clear signs stating that beds are not to be reserved they are usually all reserved by 9am. In our opinion the beach was the better option, it's nice and clean and the private hotel section has very comfortable beach beds.

There was always plenty of food and alot of choice, this can also be said for the all inclusive bar too. If you ask for wine you are given a bottle and if you don't finish it with dinner, they will let you take it up to your room with you, which is a bonus.

All in all great value for money for a week of relaxation and lovely food/drink. We wouldn't go back to Agadir again but we would definitely go to another Riu Hotel. Also our rep Elias was very helpful and approachable.

Could not fault this hotel in any way. Firstly it is only a 20 minute drive from the aiport which is great as it was very slow getting through but no so on the way home.
Upon arrival (quite late around 9.45pm) we were greeted with tasty cocktails and taken down to the restaurant which had been kept open for us so we could eat. Food was absolutely great - have read about flies on the food but could honestly say we did not see any on the food at all. The odd bird flew into the restaurant but you can't really complain about nature!
Room was absolutely immaculate, comfy beds, water provided everyday and we had a beautiful view of the beach and mountain. Air con worked fine as did the hot water.
Staff really made the holiday they were so friendly and could not do enough for you - just tipping them a few pounds a day was really appreciated and we never had to wait for any service. In particular Anill from the restaurant, Betty from Entertainment and our wonderful housekeeper Badiaa.
We didn't use the pool as we preferred the beach, it had a lovely breeze and was clean with golden sand. The Atlantic was quite chilly but was great for a dip to cool down. We were obviously lucky with the weather as we only had one overcast day which we used to go shopping. We did not find any of the Moroccan beach sellers or shop owners to be pushy at all, especially when comparing them to the Turkish or Jamaicans. You do really have to haggle to get a good price but it's expected and is really quite fun.
We only did two trips - a boat trip which was lovely, we went fishing and a camel ride which was brilliant. Camel was white and beautiful and ignore people who say they bite and spit - they are extremely tame.
Nightlife was reasonable in the hotel, a decent singer, belly dancers, acrobats, etc. We ventured into the nighclub one night and had a great time dancing with the guests we met - be aware the drinks are quite pricey but we just made sure we had plenty of cocktails and wine at the all-inclusive bar before we went! They did not run out of any alcohol at all and the cocktails were really strong. They served Cava with breakfast and the wine with lunch was of a decent standard.
You could use Wi-Fi free of charge in the restaurant and reception area which was a nice touch.
One thing that we found confusing was the money situation as the Dirham is a "closed currency" - people we met were under the impression that you cannot bring the Dirham into or out of Morocco - even the rep Elias did not know. This is incorrect. You can purchase the Dirham at any InterCash in the UK and you can also take whatever you don't spend home with you as long as you are not taking an enormous amount (which is the same for most countries). We had a few hundred pounds worth and we brought it back to use for next time. It's only if you want to change it before you leave Morocco that you need a receipt to do so.
Although we had to check out at 12pm the all-inclusive benefits remained so you could still eat and drink until it was time to go. They also provided a room to shower and change in complimentary which was a great touch as it meant we got to spend another day on the glorious beach.
I could not recommend this hotel enough, it was fantastic. We cannot wait to go back.
