Away from the evening entertainment this is a quiet, though large, hotel. Truly excellent staff everywhere except, perhaps, at reception, where the gentlemen tended to be a bit perfunctory. But on the other hand, they were happy to let me look at a few rooms before settling in one. The breakfast was good but not brilliant - the cooked options did not vary and looked a bit uninspired. Like another reviewer here I was tickled by the booking of poolside loungers by (I'm afraid) German guests long before the sun was up. If I hadn't wanted to be on the beach rather than by the pool this would have annoyed me...! One thing which I couldn't understand was that the cash desk wouldn't give me a receipt for changing money, no matter how nicely I insisted on one. In the end I changed elsewhere... I wonder why this happened?

We traveled to the ABC as part of a Sunway package - for which the organisation was exemplary. Our intent was a quiet week with some sunshine and a brief escape from the gales in northern Europe.

I believe this venue fulfilled all of our needs. Although it's a very large hotel it is run along very friendly and helpful lines. I have nothing but praise for the staff, and am in awe of their language skills.

The room was generously sized, very clean, and provided a small balcony with a view over the pool area. The opposite side of the corridor with a sea view might have been better, but as late bookers we shouldn't complain. There was a small fridge for cold drinks etc. but no means of making tea or coffee.

Our package wasn't inclusive, other than breakfast, so we ate out some of the time. The hotel's buffet breakfast was really good, and almost eliminated the need for lunch. The buffet dinner in the main dining area was nothing short of excellent. There are also several 'specialty' restaurants - of which we tried the Italian one - very good.

It was the quiet season, and we are pensioners, so night life wasn't a priority - but there's live music in the bar every night - and of a very good standard.

The highlight of any trip to Agadir must be the promenade. It's very long and provides great walking both daytime and in the evening. Lots of shops, restaurants and cafes.

ABC also has it's own fenced off patch of beach, just over the promenade from the hotel back door, which was free to use. Sunbathing in January is such a treat!

Very few negatives really. We loved it. It is a large hotel - so if you are in any way incapacitated make that known to your travel agent first. As a resort, prices are reasonable - although the artificial exchange rate makes most of the prices seem fairly close to those at home.

Slightly amusing, by the way, was the positively frenetic way that even some of the older guests managed to use their towels to reserve sunbeds long before the more relaxed of us were even awake!!

well my wife and i had visited agadir beach hotel a year previously 2012 and enjoyed our stay..
And we also won a free week on their welcome night. The voucher was valid for one year..
my wife got pregnant and we had to cancel our trip and i informed agadir beach hotel and they said no problem we will extend the voucher ....on arriving in the hotel we had one week paid for and expected the second week free..no such luck they said that they had a new manager and we would have to pay for our second week..They quoted even more then the first week to stay..luckily i knew the sunway rep of whom we had booked our first week with and she quoted us the same price as the first week if we booked with sunway for the second week..we then had to check out after the first week pay a tourist tax and book in again for the second week..we were not impressed..

Room Tip: stay away from the place

Dear Customer
Your comments really surprised us !! In 2011 you stayed with us and won a free week for 2 persons with breakfast. The voucher dated January 2011 was valid until December 15th, 2011. We extended it a first time until January 2012. In July 2012, you called us and on August 1st 2012, we confirmed to you that we had agreed to extend the voucher until December 24th, 2012. You came and stayed with us in November 2013. We are sure you will understand that nearly 3 years later your voucher could not be used anymore…

My wife and our two daughters aged 19 and 21 had a fantastic week at the ABC this Christmas. Packaged with the 3.5 hour flight from Brussels and 30 minute bus ride from the airport, everything was smooth. Weather was sunny every day and warm enough for us to lay by the pool or at the private beach and swim in the Atlantic or in the pool. The waiters and the entertainment teams were friendly and helpful making our stay seem special. The rooms are basic and the reception staff fair. Our refrigerator didn't work in the room, but we didn't need it anyway since we were "all-inclusive" and felt the variety and flavors were very good at every meal. Beds weren't the most comfortable, and the pillows were poor. Overall decor is not modern, but we liked the charm. Variety of restaurants within the hotel and plenty of bars to choose from to get drinks. Access to the beach and several local clubs, restaurants, and companies offering excursions throughout Morocco. Many returning guests keep coming back and we want to return again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the beach get more sun.

What a trek from reception/restaurants to the room! Saw some people with mobility problems really struggling. Room was adequate and seemed very clean. The cleaning staff were very efficient. Some fixtures and fittings in the room were a bit tired and broken. General staff always very pleasant and helpful. The food in the main restaurant was a bit bland and monotonous, with little choice for a veggie. Sadly, being part of a large group we were seated in a dim corner which wasn't very pleasant. The best thing was the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. The Roma Italian Restaurant was much better....very professionally run and the pizza was delicious. The drinks from the bars hyere seemed very expensive when compared with other local bars...fortunately we had a bottle of gin and a bottle of Prosecco in our cases and resorted to 'smuggling' in water and tonic. Nicely situated on the beach and as the hotel appeared to be less than half full there was no competition for loungers either by the pool or on the beach.

Room Tip: Beware that some rooms are a very long way from reception and the restaurants.

We (couple in early 30's) stayed here for one week in early November on a bed and breakfast basis. If you are looking for a winter sun holiday the Agadir Beach Club is the way to go. The staff are excellent and attend to your every need. The breakfast is great with plenty of choices and if you don't want to leave the hotel they have four very good restaurants especially La Roma. The hotel decor is somewhat dated but this only adds to the charm of the hotel. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are thoroughly cleaned everyday. We cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We have recently returned from two weeks at this hotel. Having been very pleased with our previous stay a year ago we were even more impressed this time. Some of the staff remembered us and all were very friendly and helpful.
Our room this year was on the left, facing the pool and was serviced by a lift. Those on the other side overlooking the sea do not have a lift. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and well serviced.
We were on B/B basis and found the food to be quite good. There was enough variety to suit all tastes with fresh orange juice, cereal, yogurt, eggs cooked to order, pancakes ,other hot foods, cold meats and cheeses and a variety of breads ect. The only disappointment being the lack of fresh fruit. There was fresh melon only once in two weeks, so improvement is needed there.
The hotel is spacious with plenty of areas to relax, a good sized pool with plenty of sun beds, well kept gardens and direct access to a private section of beach.Beach towels are provided for a returnable fee.
The best addition this year was the opening of the hotel cafe on the beachfront which was handy for a light snack at ant time. We ate out most evenings in the many nearby restaurants which were excellent and good value. There was music in the lounge until 11.30 each evening.
Many staying at this hotel are returning guests so I think this gives a better picture than any review.
