On our arrival we were told we had a very nice room, walking towrds it i relised that it had a sea view, however that was our first disappointment because it was on the ground floor we could not see the sea.
The room was not as plesant as out stay in Iberostar Punta Cana, but in fairness there was plenty of room but I would discribe it as basic.
No facitlites to make a drink and no mini bar.
the food was so disappointing the first week we had started to look for somewhere else to eat but for some reason after the 6th day there was such an improvement in the food it went to bearable to very nice and plenty of choice (maybe not breakfast).
I found the entertainment staff unapproachable during the 1st week the only time someone from the staff talked to us was when they hit my disabled daughter in the face with a ball. On the 8th day a member of staff came over and said did you arrive yesterday.

We stayed at Iberstar for a few nights in July.
The first room we were given was on the ground floor and faced a wall (the side wall of the hotel, to be precise), which is far from what we expected. After some difficulties and misunderstandings, we did an upgrade to a junior suite, which was better, but be carefull when you book, as the cheaper rooms are really subpar.
On the plus side, the hotel has a nice location, right next to the beach, the pools are ok but very noisy during the day, and the weather was very good throughout. The beach is ok, you have a small private area for hotel guests, with sun chairs and beach umbrellas, and the water was fine in terms of temperature, altough you have to be carefull when you swim, as the ocean has some current. During the time I was there the beach was usually filled with people playing football, so you had to be careful and dodge a couple of balls to get to the water.
The staff is not very helpful nor attentive (the staff of the pool bar especially was very slow and unresponsive), the only staff I can say had acceptable people skills were in the indoor bar. The general quality of the drinks was very poor (usually in an all inclusive, alcohol tends to be lower quality, but not this low).
Food is ok, there wasn't a lot of variety particularly during lunch, but generally adequate and tasty enough.
Wifi was realllllllly slow, you couldn't connect during a large part of the day, and even to read your e-mails it took 10-15m minimum. Any internet surfing took longer if at all possible.
This hotel really does not compare with other all-incluses I stayed in the Caribbean, but if you're looking for a cheap summer getaway 2-3 hours flight from Europe and can get a decent deal on a junior suite or superior room with beach view, I guess It's an option. However, I would check out Riu Agadir as well, which is right next to this hotel - we visited it and the facilities looked MUCH better.

Room Tip: Get a double suite or a superior room with beach view. Otherwise you may end up facing a side wall.

This was our second visit to Agadir. This was nearly twice the price of another hotel we stayed at last time however we didn't get much more for our money except a nicer room. The thing we liked the most was the fact that it was on the beach. Be prepared to get up early if you want a sunbed. Guests were up at 7 am bagging loungers and by 8am all the ones by the pool taken! . We had a ground floor room by the pool so we just went straight into the pool and didn't bother with a sun lounger. Very annoying as some guests have no intention of using them till at least 12 noon. I would urge hotel management to put a stop to this and not allow people to 'reserve ' sunbeds.
The beach area was nice but please note you cannot get a drink there. Either take one with you or go back into the hotel to get one. Would be nice if they just served soft drinks and water at the beach. Makes it easier if you have kids with you.
Meal times were a little crazy. Just so many people. We decided to go for late lunches and late dinners as more of a chance getting a table. We went as a group of 8 but had to split across 2 tables for the whole holiday. Not once did staff direct us to any free tables, they just stood around looking unhappy. The food itself was nothing special . Lots of choice but bland in taste. Maybe that would appeal to many but not me. Drinks, wine and beer all good though. Not much queuing either so good. Hotel clean toilets, tables etc and glasses collected promptly .
Entertainment was a let down. Did not like the venue. On the ground floor with a low ceiling and not enough seats. Very amateur performances . Cringeworthy at times. Morocco not quite there yet like other places in terms of entertainment. Better of bringing in local acts or belly dancing. Can't go wrong with showing a bit of local culture etc.
On our last day we booked a taxi from the car hire place in the hotel to drive us to Marrakech. Was told our driver would speak English and knew where he was going. We got to Marrakech but the driver could not find the hotel and drove around for one and a half hours in the heat and would not put the air con on ! He did not speak a word of English and tried to charge us more money! Moral of the story is DO NOT USE THE HOTEL FOR CAR HIRE
Love Agadir but next time booking elsewhere.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the staff at this hotel who were so professional and attentive. Huge thank you to Houda, Moosa and Mohammed the Lifeguards, Head bar men that I was sold to for 20,000 camels (husband has found a field to keep them in if the deal is still on) the bar staff at the outdoor bar who made my twins Sophie and Charlotte feel so welcome and safe. I could not recommend this highly enough. I think everyone will remember the twins!!!!! they made our holiday sooo special and kept the children entertained and safe. P.S to the Managing Director........ you have a beautiful hotel and staff I hope you appreciate them they are superb.

A nice hotel with great location, just spoilt by poor management.

Rooms nice, lobby nice, staff very nice, pool nice for adults, right on the beach.

Downsides :
1. Wifi - worst I've seen for a decade, sometimes works but poorly (10 minutes to get an iPad app is normal when it doesn't fail) and only in reception, otherwise forget it. Occasional sync of news or mail possible (in reception), odd web page ok, all other uses not possible, for any video find another hotel.
2. Main bar in evening has seats for around 60 people and 2 bar staff, there must be 1500 people in the hotel. So although hotel is largely all inclusive, it's frustration that you mainly get included in the evening. Recommend getting as much drink as possible at dinner as draught beer tap open to all, then find another bar/ hotel to drink in and notch up the cost to experience. There's a perfect bar and area by the pool that they choose not to open.
3. Food plenty, but lacks flavour, except fish and pizza which were great - just needs a chef from Marrakech were we didn't find one bad meal.
4. Pools are great for adults but area that kids can stand in only the size of a tennis court, which would not be so bad, but management have decided this would be best used for water polo, so kids cannot use it most of the day, instead they swim in the 1.6 to 1.75 meter areas. Note, there is also a paddling pool for under 3s.

Frustrating as the hotel has all the elements to be exceptional - except good management.

Our free Wi-Fi service is free for our guests to use by our lobby, however when many users are connected at the same time, the service can be slower than usual, the service is not intended to allow guests to download videos or heavy files but to ensure the possibility to stay connected to social medias and revise emails.

Moreover we would like to clarify that our hotel never exceeds 1300 guests which is our maximum capacity, our lobby bar offers 250 seated places between the indoor and outdoor terrace, the entertainment area counts with sitting for 800 guests.

At IBEROSTAR we know that meals are a very important aspect of our guests' overall holiday experience, this is why our professional Chefs strive on a daily basis to prepare a wide variety of typical local dishes as well as the best international delights, with thematic buffets providing the possibility to savor many different flavors at every single meal in order to cater for all diet requirements and please the most demanding palates, we are glad you appreciated the fresh fish ad well as our home made pizzas.

We also would like to clarify that our entertainment staff organizes a wide array of leisure and sport activities throughout the day; the kids pool is used for water polo which lasts one hour, the pool is free to use for the rest of the day.

On the other hand, we are glad you appreciated our prime location, with direct access to the beach and a few minutes car ride from the center of Agadir.

Moreover, we are glad to read your satisfaction with the room we accommodated you in, since they are designed to offer maximum comfort to our guests.

I cannot fault this place. The rooms, staff, food, bars, ambiance, quality was fantastic. Everything perfectly maintained, cleaned and cared for. (Only the entertainment and night shows were typically very naff and tacky but I commend the teams effort) the staff really do go out of their way to care for and provide for their guests and I would def return. It accommodates and attracts a fair mix of clientele who bother to dress for dinner which gives the place a good degree of class. However, this is spoilt by the poor manners of the french who take over the place by hogging tables and chairs not in use, eating food off plates whilst walking around the buffet and pushing in with an attitude. Otherwise a fine hotel which prides itself in its high standards.

The biggest advantage of the hotel is extremely friendly service. The hotel has very good location. It is separated from the ocean promenade. The hotel is located a little further from the center, where you can walk along the promenade in a few minutes so the area is quieter.
The downside are deep pools. Approximately 1.7 m on almost the entire surface. For younger children there is a small shallow paddling pool. The food is tasty and varied, especially if someone likes Moroccan cuisines.
