Me my aunt and mum went to the souk on the last day on the holiday. Make sure you get dropped off at the correct gate 8/9/10 as there as the tourist ones where they are used to tourists and very tolerant and friendly.
Do haggle over prices they expect it and its the norm and enjoy it! Which I found as I did haggle and mostly paid 50% of the original price and got lots of praise for my little bit of Arabic (hello/thank you/please/no) etc.
I had a great experience. I wore a knee length dress as did my mum and my aunt wore mid-thigh shorts. We were not leered out. Be comfortable but do remember it is a Muslim country so do try and respect they. They don't appear to take offence or be nasty but they do really appear to appreciate ANY effort to go with their culture/attempt the language.
A little effort goes a long way!
It was a lovely day out got some good bargains and would definitely recommend it.
They sell all sorts food/sweets/clothes and tourist 'tat'. However, its not something you could do all day/ again as once its done its done - so make the most of it!
