“Great hotel!!”
Reviewed November 28, 2012

Great hotel! Staff are very friendly especially abdel and yassene and lamia. Very clean, hotel rooms are lovely. Food tasty. Lots of variety. Definately come back again! Location is great. Beach across the road and also shops and bars near by. Casino next door. Moroccan people are very friendly and welcoming. Staff involve you within the entertainment. Good for families, couples and young people.

I stayed here for a week and have just got back. Hotel is very clean and lovely! The omelettes at breakfast are amazing, not so sure about the food on the evening though, very same same and bit bland. The tagine restaurant is worth visiting, very good. We went on a few trips who we booked through Rachid, I must say if you aim to do the 'little Sahara' please be prepared for disappointment - they advertise it as dune bashing when it is in fact one dune that you ride a camel on then get bombarded by locals to give them money. The Atlas Mountain/paradise valley trip is good, make sure you take adequate walking boots/closed shoes. Also the two hour camel ride is great - just make sure you cover up as the mozzys eat you alive. I would also recommend the massage at the spa- the spa girls are lovely and also sell moroccan oil for ladies who like to look after their hair and skin ;-) There are lots of cats and kittens and I hope you look after them on your visit. Pools are clean, plenty of sunbeds.. staff are friendly, entertainment on the evening is a bit ropey.. same old same old every night some bloke on a guitar singing eric clapton wonderful tonight and chris de burgh lady in red.. also be aware of the drinks machine, flies can come out - there's many flies which are annoying. Over-all cannot complain of hotel itself .. lovely room, balcony and for the people who moan about noise get over it..it's not noisy at all!

Such clean hotel. Great staff everywhere on site
Excellent location. Great rooms brilliant maid service. Keshmita thank you
Waiters Jem and hassan drop them. 20 dh each evening , lunch they. Will have a table reserved with water. Wine and drinks every meal and top ups without getting up
Tip the bar staff in their pot a couple every now and then
The maid gets a 100 dh at the end of the week we had fresh towels for the beach and bathroom everyday immaculate hotel
Watch the amount of spirit the waiters pour 2 drinks and your tipsy very generous
Food great and loads of choice
Loads of sunbeds
Good evening entertainment
Great location 2 moms from beach and promenade
Great value for money hot and lovely
Just a note on money you have to change it in hotel make sure there are no marks or banks writing or number totals written on your English money or they won't change it there is an ATM in the hotel which makes things so easy
Great value bars and restaurants nearby
Little zoo opposite. Take a taxi everywhere they are so cheap
But tip everywhere just 10dh about 50p
But makes all the difference
Can't fault it.

As a group of 6 we returned last week from the Beach Albatross Agadir as All Inclusive guests. The weather was close to 30 degs all week with only one overnight rain storm. Not bad for November.
We found the staff and Moroccans in general were very hospitable. That was so even in the local fish market and the main Souk although not all we spoke to felt so at ease in these areas.
Whilst talking about the Souk perhaps our most memorable trip to this area was with Hassan a taxi driver (no15) who managed to squeeze 6 fairly large brits into his Mercedes and laughed so much that he cried all the way back to the Hotel making the ride back very "interesting" from a safety point of view. Actually a good driver and a very nice man.
As for the hotel our stay was excellent. Most of us were closing in on 60 years of age but the Animation Team made us most welcome. Thanks to Yassine, the 2 Abdels, Fati & Lamia. The drinks were fine and although some mixers were out of the bottle, coke & lemonade were out of dispensers which often had a colony of honey bees residing (not the end of the world though). Some flies also but only the odd one would take a bite akin to the Blandford Fly at home. Thanks to Driss, Mahand and Ayoube for great service at the pool bar. Further thanks to Ayoube for inviting us to his 24th birthday party. There was an additional charge for use of the Spa/massage etc but again Matla made the price worth paying.
Food was a bit samey but the serving staff and indeed the kitchen staff were great. We were invited twice (perhaps by mistake?) to the Al Carte restuarant where the tagines were excellent.
We often spoke to Security and garden staff all of which were very friendly. One security Gaurd even had a guard Cat named "Katty". This animal and all other cats on site were very healthy and oviously well looked after by the hotel staff and guests.
Some communication problems at reception but after all their main language is Arabic & French so they are forgiven. More small notes for exchange for the large Dirham notes we got at Airport would have helped with tipping more staff (they were all worth it).
All in all a great trip and the only hiccup was not the hotels fault namely that Golf du Soleil failed to pick us up at the prescribed time and sent us to the Royal Atlas for another transfer and failed to turn up there as well. Perhaps a taxi next time!!!
Thank you Beach Albatross from Steve, Mick, Paul, Angela, Karen and Nicci.
NB: Keep the All Inclusive going.

Room Tip: If you don't like road noise ask for room at far end of pool area.

Been back a few weeks now but wanted to share what a great hotel the Albatros is. The hotel is clean and bright with a great location near the beach and shops.

Loved the pool area with plenty going on. I get bored easily normally but with so much going on I didn't have time. Abdul and the animation team were great. Always time to chat and make sure everything is ok. The evening entertainment and themed nights were brill you didn't even need to leave the hotel. Everyone was made to feel welcome.

No hesitation in booking again and would recommend the hotel for groups, couples and families.
