“Nice restaurant!”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

Turquoise is a nice restaurant with a beautiful sea view. Service was good, we ordered mussel (which was okay), sea bass and sea bream, all of them were test good. The beer that they brought was very cold, which is not really usual in Algeria. And for me the most important part is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Only shortcoming is the limitation of the fish options.

“Overpriced and overrated”
Reviewed June 13, 2014 via mobile

We were very disappointed by our experience, I heard few good things about this place, so we were expecting a fresh grilled seafood experience. It turns out that most of the fish served was previously frozen, the texture was very chewy, and the taste is very lacking, we had to return all the fish back as well since it wasn't well cooked, you can still see the raw center, worst seafood I had, and even though the menu states that the dish comes with grilled vegetables, turns out the vegetables are a mediocre choice of carrots and potatoes, with maybe 1 or 2 string beans and one small slice of zucchini, none of which were grilled, they were boiled and slathered with tons of butter to make up the lack of taste. Overall not worth the money, and service is pretty bad.

“Good clean hotel, great restaurant and views.”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Myself and my husband have been here on several occasions, this hotel is very clean and simple, the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and well maintained with a cleaner coming daily to change towels and bring you bottled water etc, if you ask the staff they will bring breakfast to your room which is included in the hotel price.
The rooms mostly have balconies and a sea view if you ask when booking, also air conditioning and tv.
The restaurant is very busy and popular although you can easily reserve a specific table if you are staying at the hotel. One waiter in particular, Sidali, went out of his way on every visit to ensure that our food was the best quality and delivered promptly to us.
All the staff were polite and helpful.
The only downsides to this hotel are that the hotel pool on the roof could be cleaned more often and more efficiently and expect a lot of noise from loud families coming just to use the pool. Saying that there are excellent views from the poolside onto the beach of Ain Taya and there is a small pool bar where you can buy soft drinks and some snacks at lunch. Also when there is a wedding being held there expect loud noises right through the night.
You will need a family book or proof of marriage to stay as a couple at this hotel.
There is parking outside and a mosque just down the hill. There is also a few small shops locally and a 10 minute drive away a takeaway called Marhaba Traiteur which does excellent hot food to go if you don't fancy the restaurant and want a high quality takeaway.

“Excellent view and sea food.”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

I know Turqoise for a long time (5 years) and he suffered a remodelation in the middle.
Since then, the prices are up but we can not forget that the fish is fresh and you multiple choises in wines and beer.
It takes quit a long to reach the restaurante from the center of Algiers, but the view is the best of all.
The staff were always nice to my Portuguese team and we were always welcome and treated nicelly there.
