“Filet needed A1 Sauce...need I say more?”
Reviewed July 5, 2013 via mobile

I was really wanting to like this place, the atmosphere was nice, our waitress friendly, but the Filet I ordered was one of the worst I've ever had. I had to ask my waitress for steak sauce in order to finish it.

The au gratin potatoes were good, but overall I was disapppointed.

“Amazing beef vegetable soup”
Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

The beef vegetable soup was amazing!!!!!
the strip steak was a great cut. The only complaint is it wasn't seasoned at all. My guess is the clients are older so they don't use a lot of seasoning. I woul go back.

“The 1960's paneling sets the mood for everything.”
Reviewed June 10, 2013 via mobile

We've been here a couple times in the past couple years and the food just keeps on sliding. Lousy salad, okay baked potato and bread.
The attention to detail just seems lacking.
There are much better places in Des Moines and they'll get out business from now on.

“Average”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

We have gone here for many years however the prices here have gone to high. $16.95 for fried chicken is pretty pricey for the atmosphere. Our service was lacking also. : (

“Great food - usually a wait to be seated”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

This restaurant serves great food. Steaks are very good and onion rings are as well. The only downfall is that they are consistently busy, but worth the wait. Good prices here as well.
