“NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! BAD BAD BAD”
Reviewed June 4, 2014

We stayed here with a group for a team event. Our experience was TERRIBLE. It is WAY overpriced for the "quality" and we even had a group discount rate. I will never stay in this hotel again. Our room was on the 3rd floor and when we checked in it was like 120 degrees in there. We literally had to turn on the A/C in teh room and then leave and go to Meijer across the street in order to even be able to sit in there comfortably!!! Also, if you do dare to stay at this hotel, be prepared to be charged 24 hours before you even supposed to check in!!!!!!! They charged me Thursday night and we were not checking in until Friday night and messed my checking account all up!!!! And did not care or appoligize or do anything to make it right. I would sleep in my car before i would pay another dime to stay in this hotel!!!!

We stayed here last night. We were already angry before we even reached the hotel. It took as several tries to get to the building before we finally found a small unlit sign for the hotel on a separate drive. All that we wanted was to take a swim and a nice bath afterwards. Not possible. The pool area was closed, and when we got to our room there wasn't a plug for the bathtub. I even called the desk only to be told by Candy at the front desk that "she didn't know where to get a plug" and that "she could come up and look at our room". Never showed. We ended up sticking the plastic wrap from the hotel cups in the drain as a make shift plug. The chairs were dirty and stained, containing so many food crumbs I could guess what food had been eaten. The walls were stained and had carvings. The room screamed 'yuck'! Finally we went to bed using the miniscule pillows and the comforter barely kept me warm, managing to fall asleep despite the bright light shining through our curtains from the outside lighting. In the morning, there was very little water pressure or heat making it difficult to shower. Not sure if that's expected of a hotel or not. By the time we were ready to eat breakfast before hitting the road, we were instantly mad again. There were only about four tables in the breakfast area so we had to take our food elsewhere. We ended up with hard biscuits and crushed froot loops. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that they still had a room we could book when we decided to attend the Ball State graduation last minute. The bad part is, now I understand why they had room. It suited us for the night, but we wouldn't of managed a stay longer than a night in that place.

We chose to stay here because of price and proximity to a Casino/Dog Track in our former home town. Price was right. Fairly noisy location ( I know a number of hotels have this issue) and not very well marked finding the property. Shower was mediocre. I would say breakfast was standard for what we would expect at this level of hotel. Fine place to stay if you are not looking for any frills.

Room Tip: Ask to be on back side away from Scaterfield road

Choose to spend 2 nights here based on past experience at Quality Inn around the country to start with.Wanted to spend much needed relaxing away and checked website to make sure they had a indoor hot tub, it stated it did.

Called hotel directly and make reservations for 2 nights and checked a few things to make sure everything was as I hoped. After the call felt alittle unsure but blew it off as just a unknowledged desk clerk.

Upon arrival the next day at check in noticed sign stating the spa was closed,After checking was and had been closed for awhile. Strike 1 !

Decided to stay anyway. WRONG ! Got to room it seemed ok at first but looking closer it was overdusty throughout and otherwise decent room for a king. Blanket did have a couple burnt holes.

Next morning expecting a truly enjoyable breakfast that comes with staying at a Quality Inn anywhere but guess not this one. Most have a made to order egg and fresh prepared meats and potatoes. Not here just your normal cold and dry items with make your own waffles and hard bisquits and gravy. STRIKE 2

When to take a shower and was the last white nozzle from 1979 left in a hotel, which meant no freakin pressure to take a decent shower. And insult to injury they had one of those self- promoting sign on the vanity bragging they have the best showers. STRIKE 3.......I'M OUT OF HERE!

Besides the bigger ones they had a few minor ones, the biggest being the not so bright front desk clerk. She was clueless.

So basically checked out after one night and swear to never return. So stay away, far away.

Stayed here recently. Comforters had cigarette burns, mirrors had not been cleaned, toilet dirty, something brown and gross under nightstand. I couldn't look what it actually was but wasn't ours.

Told my family members who live in Anderson about the terrible room and they said "Oh, the hotel where they had the meth lab?" Sure enough - googled it and meth lab found here Jan. 2013.

Nasty, dirty,creepy place

The hotel looked as though it had recently been updated as the furninture carpeting, bathroom was in good shape. Our complaint was that everywhere you looked was dirty as though the place had not been swept in quite a while. I pulled out the nightstand just a bit to plug in the lamp and to my surprise was someones underwear and a few other misc items along with lots more dirt. The steps leading to the lobby was the worst i have ever seen in a hotel. It is a shame that with the newer furnishings that the place was so nasty. We normally stay in choice hotels and choose this one based on price. Next time we stay in Anderson it will not be at the Quality Inn. I am sure Steve Joyce would not be happy about the way this Quality Inn is being maintained.

Room Tip: If you are desperate it will do.

This is the worst Quality Inn I've ever stayed at for the following reasons:

1. VERY noisy rooms due to the proximity to I69.
2. Dirty common areas.
3. Cigarette burns in the comforter on the beds.
4. Front desk could care less when I mentioned that there were deferred maintenance issues that I thought needed to be addressed.
5. the "Manager's Special" from 6-8pm was an absolute joke
