I booked the "executive suite" on 12/28/06 because members from our family were visiting from out of town and we thought it would be fun to stay overnight in one place. I have paid way less to have much more from a hotel chain. The Executive Suite looked like it had not been updated since the 70's, when was the last time you saw a console TV? I had to "beg" for bath towels, three towels please, as only wash cloths and hand towels were in the bathroom when we arrived, the front desk man seemed put out. I did not see any mouse droppings as mentioned in earlier review, but it would not have surprised me. The hotel is in need of rennovation and a good cleaning. Our other family members were booked in the Jaccuzzi Suite, and outside their door there was a "spot" that the kids joked and said someone had "barfed." The hotel is Pet Friendly, and there is a laundry and gym, but the hot breakfast advertised was "just OK." When we asked the attendant at 8:00 AM if there was anymore bacon, she said only if she had to Make Some More. The Breakfast was advertised until 9:30 AM. I would say if you want to stay in Anderson there are better choices across the way at the Fairfield Inn or the Hampton Inn down the road. The major chains seem to keep their facilities standard in upkeep and decor. If you are looking for a "flash back" to the 70's then this is your place, at $88 w/tax I have been places where I have received MUCH BETTER treatment and value for the price.
