“Kids keep talking about the visit”

Loved seeing the animals up close. It was colder on the day we went and the animals were all out enjoying the day, except the monkeys. We want to go back to see the bush babies.

It was a bit more expensive than I was anticipating, but the money goes toward a good cause.

“Truly amazing!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2012

The work Black Pine does is amazing. All of the animal residents were rescued from situations no animal should be subjected to like the alligator that used to live in a college frat house & grew too big for them to keep! Some of the animals were bought online & then buyers had remorse. The facilities are wonderful for these creatures to live out their years. You will see everything from lions & tigers, panthers, chamelons, snakes, to chimps & monkeys. The apes are usually especially playful & love to enteract with people. The are enclosed in high security ares so you are in no danger & their "poo" throwimg antics can't be done to you! A petting & feeding area is also on the premise, filled with goats, llamas, deer, sheep. & horses. When we were there we saw more than 70 creatures overall. The preserve also has a nice picnicing area outside which will hold approx. over 50 people & indoor restrooms, not outhouses. The difference between these guys & a zoo is that they are rescuing animals and are not for profit. They will give you a gukded tour & explain wht the animals are there, their native habitats & characteristics. Truly worth supporting!

“Excellent Animal Sanctuary”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012

I have been going to Black Pine Animal Park since 1997. It is fantastic. Their mission is incredible. They are all wonderful people. The animals are incredible. I have never been able to be this close to exotic animals. They are so beautful. The Black Pine staff do everything in their power to replicate the animals natural habitat. It is so worth the visit.

“AWESOME !!!!”

This is better than a zoo. The place is so well organized and it allows you to get real close to the animals. These are rescued animals so it is very educational.
