Review of Phillips Park Zoo

Phillips Park Zoo

We love the Phillips Park Zoo! The zoo has a reptile house with alligators and snakes. They also have great birds of prey, wolves and my son's favorite, big cats! They also have acres and acres of picnic/park area and a HUGE playground for the kids. We LOVE Phillips Park and look forward to going to the 'Festival of Lights' that is displayed there throughout the holidays too.

Free zoo in Aurora is very nice. Can go into the building before the zoo and learn the history of the area and zoo. It is a small zoo but the park itself is pretty big.

This park boasts a golf club, water park, sunken garden, and even a zoo! Beautiful setting for a walk or picnic. Kids will love playing on the old canons and playground equipment! The zoo is free and is home to wolves, alligators, and bald eagles! These animals are lovingly cared for here because they are rescues. Visit the welcome center to see Woolly Mammoth bones discovered in the park years ago! You could easily spend a day here! Enjoy!

We went a couple of weeks ago. It's a tiny little zoo. A few rescued local animals only. Only took about an hour to go through the entire zoo. But it was enjoyable. Good place to take kids. And its free, so your not losing anything if you don't care for it. We enjoyed an ice cream in the sunken garden after we had seen the animals.

The zoo is by no means large. it is perfect of you have little kids. Its free too. pack a lunch and make a half day of it. Bring a camera for their pictures in the sunken garden
