“What a great hotel and great staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2010

We stayed at this hotel over the Labor Day Weekend as we were in town for a wedding. We arrived late and the staff was helpful and our rooms were ready. The free breakfast is above standard and roomy. The pool area was perfect for our kids and open late, it also was soundproof and didn't bother the rooms around it. This is perfect location, great rate and helpful staff. Will stay here again.

Everyone at this hotel is sooooo welcoming!! Whether it's on the phone, at the front desk, at the breakfast area--their work ethic is consistent--it was our pleasure to stay there!! Moved our daughter into college and arrived in Aurora a day early and were immediately accommodated. Rooms were spotless and the decor there has a mission feel--simply beautiful. Breakfast was a feast, and they supplied something for everyone. The pool was wonderful and the hot tub just right. They even had a kiddie water park for younger children. Business meetings could be amply accommodated here as well. Other restaurants were within walking distance. Union Station is not far and is the last stop on the train when you are headed into Chicago. Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality!! See you again soon!!

Tom and the crew did a nice job setting up my family and friends who traveled to Chicagoland for a family wedding!

We held a business seminar in this hotel the last of July 2010. From check in to check out, the front desk and all staff were very professional and willing to help even when we had to change agendas at the last minute due to customers. The Sales Dept. / Consultant and his group had one goal in mind - 'work with the customer and make them happy!'. Everyone in the group was impressed with the hotel, the staff, and the meeting. They helped make our seminar a huge success. Sincerest thanks ! TG

VERY clean rooms, housekeeping was friendly and accommodating. Pools are great activity for the kids, and not too crowded even on the weekend. We ALL got in the kiddie pool to enjoy the random water buckets dumping on us. Breakfast included, won't knock your socks off, but it's basic and filling, clean and organized. There's walkable restaurants nearby too. Glad we stayed here (there are two other choices in the same walking area). Mosquitoes are bad now--bring spray!!!!
Quiet hotel even with lots of families. Comfy beds!! Right off highway!

I do not usually write reviews for chain hotels, but our recent stay at this hotel far exceeded our expectations. We stayed two nights and could not stop talking about all of the small features that made our stay so nice. This is a family owned and operated hotel where the average employee tenure is 6 years (according to the manager).

The continental buffet (which we did not even know was included) was the best stocked, most spacious and cleanest that I have ever seen at a hotel in this price range. After a LONG night with a crying baby, we dragged ourselves down to the buffet 30 minutes before it closed. Most buffets are cleaned out by that time. This one was fully stocked like they had just opened for the morning.

For a few dollars more, we had a very spacious two-room suite. It was actually designed as a suite, instead of those bad conversion jobs that we often experience. The small kitchenette was helpful. The giant whirlpool tub next to the bed was a little cheesy, but some people might enjoy it.

Other nice features included a small snack store (complete with your favorite airplane bottles of alcohol); an easy to use business center with a print-your-boarding-pass option; free wi-fi service in the rooms; the nicest kiddy-pool I have ever seen at a hotel; hand sanitizers mounted everywhere throughout the hotel; these ridiculously helpful carrying trays for bring breakfast back to your room; lighted exit signs on the floor (it’s a firefighter thing, but you would appreciate them in the event of a smoke-filled hallway); and a very friendly staff.

I would honestly go out of my way to stay at this hotel again.

My husband and 14 year old daughter stayed at this hotel 7/21-7/25 and I really don't have any complaints or negatives to say about our stay.

The Room:
We booked a King Suite which was at the very end of a long hall but the room was spacious, clean, and quiet. We had a living room with a sofabed, comfy chair and TV with entertainment console. There was a small wet bar area with sink, mini fridge and microwave. They had popcorn in the room which was a nice touch.

The bedroom had the King bed - which was very comfortable! There was also a desk and TV with console. The bathroom was nice since it had a separate room with the toilet and shower/but from the dressing area with a spacious mirrored door closet.

Hotel Amenities:
The free wi-fi was very nice and the hot breakfast was excellent. (I loved the waffles!) Each morning there was a different hot entree which while we were there ranged from cheese omelets to steak and egg scambles. (Beware, they use a velveta like cheese which I'm not fond of!) They also offer muffins, bagels, donuts, breads for toasting, cereal, instant oatmeal packets with hot water, yogurt, juices, coffee, and milk. For the little ones they had coloring activiy pages w/ crayons and kiddie sippy cups - a nice touch for families with small children.

During the weekdays, they deliver USA Today to your door. The pool area we did not visit but there appeared to be a lot of kids enjoying it. There is a little sundries shop with a small assortment of snack and goodies. I'm a diet coke lover and this property is a Diet Pepsi outfit... probably not a concern to anyone else in the world but me!! :-)

Location: The hotel is right off Highway 88 at Orchard Rd. A very central location to about everything. The Aurora Outlet Mall was just down Hwy 88. There was plenty of parking and since we were at the end of the hallway on the 4th floor we parked in back and used the back entrace to go up the stairs to our room. (Sometimes I wished there was an elevator back there but I'm sure I needed the exercise.)

Speaking of exercise, this may be my only negative, the work out room was tiny. Just a few pieces of equipment that was always in use. It looked like they simply converted a single guest room into the workout room - just not the best configuration but at least they can say that they have an exercise room.

Business center: There is a small business center off of the lobby with two computers and a printer. No charges for using the PCs or printing. We were able to print our boarding passes with no problem.

The Staff: From checki-in to our departure, everyone we encountered was friendly and efficient.

Next time we are in the Aurora area, I will definitely stay at this property.
