Description: Great service and atmosphere aren't the only reasons people have been making the trip to Tony's for over 60 years. Tony's is the home of the World Famous Pepperloin Steak. This beef tenderloin is marinated in Tony's secret marinade, rolled in half cracked black pepper, grilled to perfection, and drizzled with garlic butter. After one bite of this mouth watering steak, you will never want steak from another restaurant again. It is so tender it can be cut with a butter knife, and it practically melts on your palette. If steaks are not for you, Tony's offers 20 different home made specialty pastas, along with a delicious selection of seafood and chicken dishes. Tony's boasts an impressive wine list with several by the glass selections, even the most discriminating wine aficionado will be in heaven. For an after dinner don't miss the Italian Delight, Tony's version of the ice cream drink, The Brandy Alexander. Tony's also offers a 60 seat bar area and charming sidewalk cafe.

We visited Tony's this Saturday for a family reunion. I had a large group of 40 coming from all over the country. We called to set up the event with Tori. She walked through every step with us and through my 20+ calls remained sweet and helpful! Each time I spoke with her it was always "absolutely! Of course! Sure! No problem!" She even helped us with all our extras we needed like a cake, cake table, photo table... We ended up going with a buffet on Tori's reccomendation. Could not have been happier! The fried chicken was a huge hit! The pepperloin kebobs were tender, spaghetti went over fantastic with the kids, and the green beans were seasoned perfectly! Then to our delight- Tori was one of our servers! She and Kristin, who was working with her, seemed like friends. They worked well together, smiled the whole time, and did well to keep us all happy! I've been here before having less than perfect servers- these girls made everyone want to come back. We also had a bithday in the group- the girls brought her a special cheesecake. And we had someone with a gluten allergy- the girls were sure to get her all the info she needed. The restaurant was packed and when we asked we found out there were several prom parties as well. The owner came by and spoke with us too! This was nice to see an owner take interest in his groups and employees. He was very polite. We will be coming back to Tony's a lot more thanks to the great food, ownership, Tori, and Kristin.

This is the third trip that I have been extremely disappointed with service and getting our bill wrong within the past year. This past visit we went for pizza and beer. Took 20 min to get our first drink, and mine was red wine instead of white, the waitress took it back and it took almost another 30 min to get my corrected and first drink, so we ordered our second drink then. She handed us our napkin and a fork out of her apron and said she has to stash them there or she doesn't get what she needs to serve people. We asked for a knife for the bread twice, and never got one. We did manage to get little tiny plates to eat the pizza. Very disappointing. When we could catch our waitress, we told her nicely about a few things and she just kept making excuses that it was the bartender and dishwashers fault. I know she was busy, but our date night was not pleasant. Maybe things should be run better through the management. ?? When the bill came, my wine cost more than the one I ordered, and my salad should have been cheaper since we bought pizza. That was also wrong. This also happened with our previous visit 6 months previous with the service and wrong bill. We just paid the bill and left never to return again. Pizza was good, but not great like it use to be. We did tip 10% because we know it wasn't all her fault, but she knew the wine was wrong, it took an extremely long amount of time to get a drink, we didn't have plates/silverware needed, and she should know to check the price when she places the order.

We have gone to this restaurant for many years, and it is nothing like it once was.
The beef medallions were chunks of tough steak. The baked potato was over cooked.
Although the waitress was very nice, the service was terrible. She had too many tables to take care of.

HIdden in what looks like an old 'brownstone' type array of buildings, when you step inside, you'll be amazed by just how old-school excellence this building is.

They did have issues with the long lines, as there were somewhere around 7 or 8 groups waiting at the same time at the reservation desk, and only one or two personnel to .try to get everyone seated. Despite reservations, there was an extremely long wait for the servers to have our tables ready, not to mention to get to your table we had to go in and through hallways that were barely wide enough for the servers, much less us and the servers at the same time.

I will say that once the initial problems were taken care of, the food and the ambiance were great, although I will say for being a bar/restaurant, I was disappointed in the limited wine selections for the dinner.

But you take the good with the bad, and fortuantely for Tony's there was more good than bad.
