ok i have been going to this place for a while since it is a few minutes away from my home but i am stepping outside the box and not trying to be biased at all. the food is really good. its adorned with simpler decor, but very clean. the food is delish and authentic. i love everything from their classic burritos, to their filete en mojo de ajo ( a fish fillet marinated in a garlic, lime, salt and olive oil and grilled to perfection) it is light, decadent, and yet filling another dish to try is the platillo burrito jalisco grilled skirt steak served with beans in hot chili sauce, a fresh quesadilla, and fresh guacamole on the side ..yumm yumm! the portions are generous and the drinks... oh good lord!! i have been to many other restaurants that skimp on the liquor! i hate that! i have had margaritas, long islands, bloody marys etc. etc.. and they do NOT skimp! you get your money's worth! i suggest a margarita on the rocks with sauza tequila they also offer frozen which is a little bit lighter if you want to take that route if not go with the rocks one. two more drinks to try that are on a lighter alcohol note are the vampiro which is a fizzy light slightly sweeter version of a bloody mary ..or a classic and very mexican "michelada" a mexican beer infused with mildly spicy and rich tomato, salt and lime flavor! my beer of choice here for this is "sol" which means "sun" its a full bodied rich light amber beer which is perfect for the ultra yummy and super refreshing "michelada" !! on two days out of the week wednseday ( i think ..call to verify) and sunday ( i know for sure) at 6pm they present a free mariachi!! all songs and dedications are on the house..now that is my type of dinner and entertainment! super place to check out!!
