“A Perfect Place for Family”

Our boys loved the animals, particularly the kittens and rabbits, and pitched in with the home-like atmosphere of the bungalow: cooking, clean up, carrying away the trash etc. They were busy every minute and we were relaxed and happy. My expert daughter used the gas grill for one dinner, one breakfast and we even used the fire pit for s'mores! You'll never find a better family place and the Cedar Mountain Farm is a short drive down a country road from Silverwood, a treat for kids as well. We had a day at the public beach in Coueur d'Alene, too... marvelous; stocked up at the farmer's market... we could have stayed two more days! Beside all this Daryl Ann and Al are delightful hosts, sharing their beautiful home, generously and cheerfully.

Room Tip: We chose the bungalow for a party of seven plus a dog. By the time travel time came we'd dwindl...

Al and Daryl know how to make you feel at home. We had the whole house with our kids and grandkids, so it was perfect. Everyone loved her cookies, being able to sit outside in the quiet, take a walk on the trails, check out the kittens or other animals. We used the BBQ for dinner, and were able to use the kitchen (left it cleaner than found hopefully) which made it all the more enjoyable. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend...looking forward to a longer stay sometime in the future

Loved it here, will be back! It's a wonderful b and b! :) The hosts are calm and friendly and non -intrusive. A place for family and fun. The animals are really enjoyable for the kids and our son loved them, as did I. I really liked how quiet our room was too.

I chose this place because we were traveling a cross-country trip with our dogs, but wanted to spend a day in Silverwood for our kids. Al and Daryl were SO accommodating, allowing us to leave our dogs in their capable hands for the day while we played. It was hectic getting ready for our trip and I was grateful that this was our first stop, as it set the mood for relaxation the rest of the trip. Their breakfasts were delicious, the beds were comfortable, the gardens lovely. We enjoyed the shaded front porch, which offers beautiful views. We walked our dogs up the forest roads behind the property and enjoyed beautiful scenery. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was!

Beautiful log cabin! Amazing breakfasts and homemade cookies in the afternoon. Comfortable beds and clean accommodations . Great separation of space from other guests. We had a good time roasting hotdogs and marshmallows around the fire pit with the other guests too. We took our two teenagers to Silverwood - just minutes down the road. Al and Daryl are the kindest, most gracious hosts ever and I highly recommend a stay Cedar Mt Farm!

This was our 2nd visit to Cedar Mountain Farm, staying in the bunkhouse as part of our vacation/reunion with extended family. We can't say enough wonderful things about Cedar Mountain! Everyone looked forward to staying there again, as much as returning to Silverwood. The bunkhouse comfortably slept 6 this trip, but can accommodate more as well, as we did last time. We were met once again with delicious homemade cookies and the place is immaculate. The beds are all really comfortable with an unexpected bonus of great, fancy sheets that rival the best hotels. There was even fresh ground coffee in the freezer. The kids loved touring the farm in the morning, feeding goats, holding baby bunnies, seeing the sheep and chickens. Traveling with kids can be stressful, but Al and Daryl genuinely make you feel like your whole family is actually welcome at their farm. Silverwood is less than 5 minutes away, making Cedar Mountain a fantastic choice if you are visiting the park. We won't stay anywhere else when we make this trip! One of the best memories of our vacation. Highly recommend Cedar Mountain Farm!!

What an honor to have you back again! And so glad you liked our new sheets from Comphy company. Some people say they like to pet the sheets as well as the animals. Thank you so much for your kind words. We love having kiddos here--they make our day. Blessings, Al and Daryl

We planned a trip Silverwood Amusement Park and this was the closest accommodation we could find. Best idea ever! We rented the cabin that could sleep the 6 of us. Breakfast is not included in this cabin, however, Daryl brought us snacks and made us feel completely at home. All the basics were there for us to cook our own breakfast, which we did as there are very limited restaurants in the area directly around Silverwood. The weather was not ideal so we spent quite a bit of time at the cabin and enjoyed the tire swing, yard games and barn animals. The view is fabulous and hospitality was outstanding. This is the place to relax and escape from the perils of the city. There is no television, no WIFI and limited cell service. Board games are provided and we brought some cards. Great family time!

Thank you, Happytravelm0m. First, we're sorry for the rainy, cold weather. We appreciate you making the best of the situation. Our hearts always love to hear how families spend special times together and your words made our hearts happy! How kind.
Secondly, sorry the wifi in the bunkhouse didn't come through for you. We're glad you posted. We'll check the antenna and improve that.
If you would like to let us know what would improve the value and the rooms, we'd love your input. Our email is info@cedarmountainfarm.com.
Thanks again for your awesome review. We loved having you here and would be honored to welcome you back next time.
Blessings,
Al and Daryl
