“Dont Camp here!”
Reviewed January 12, 2014 via mobile

We camped here for one night. You need a permit which is 52 usd for 3 days. We got there on a monday the park is beautiful nice beach the chinaman hutt island in front nice green grass. There were bathrooms and cold showers and our camping area was marked. First thing, gates close from 8 pm to 7 am which sucks if you have an early flight. Second thing it is full of weird people, which sleep on their car or wander around and also weird old woman feeding cat. Dont camp here.

“Beautiful picture taking place”

We stopped here on our way to Kailua Ranch and got some great pictures. The area is beautiful and wide-open. Worth a stop!

“Kualoa is a big grassy park”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

Large grassy park on the ocean and not very crowded. Unlike many Oahu attractions, Kualoa has ample parking. Primary reason we went to the park was to photograph Mokoli'i Island also know as Chinaman's Hat. If you want a quiet get away to walk or picnic recommend Kualoa Park.

“Has sand, crabs, and mountains!”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

It is a nice big, wide open park with no homeless living there and (when we went) a police presence by the front gate. The views inland were beautiful, and you could see across the bay to the Kaneohe Marine Base where they filmed part of Battleship. A lot of the drive around the island has short sight distances because of the vegetation, but this is one of the few beaches where it is safe for kids to actually walk around away from traffic and the homeless and pick up a shell, look at crabs, and see some of the countryside for a few minutes. Your car remains in sight the whole time also, so the chances of it getting broken into are lower than at many beaches.
