“What fun... a coconut postcard!”

I sent these to my kids and grandson. It was a big hit. You can bring paints if you are an artist and paint if you want, but they have a box full of sharpies and I used those to draw on my coconuts. Then be sure to take your picture, the postal worker will do this if you want. He'll stamp it up and mail it off. It took about 4 days for my kids to get theirs on the west coast and cost under $10. A great souvineer.

I hitchhiked to the Ho'olehua post office just to check this out, and was not disappointed! The coconuts are free, you just have to pay shipping.
The most touristy thing on Molokai, but tons of fun.

We have done this on 2 separate trips to Molokai. The post office is a bit off the beaten path but worth it. Use a sharpie to write the address. The post office has coconuts there for you to use. We sent one to a friend and when they looked in their mailbox they thought an animal was in there! (it was a black mailbox and it was shoved all the way to the back. Molokai is a fun island to relax and the beaches are very uncrowded!
