This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The pier is lovely. It can get crowded on the weekend. Soft sand, lovely waves.

We hung out here after hiking the Kalalau trail. Fun area, some shops, and really fun watching little kids learn to surf in the bay. Apparently the canopy on the pier is being replaced, so pictures of the pier are very underwhelming right now. Weather was goofy, sun, clouds, light rain, so we didn't just relax on the beach.

This is a very beautiful bay view when looking at it from any vantage point from above. It is definitely worth the drive to see the more lush vegetation on the north side if you are staying on any other part of the island. On the other hand, the beaches on this side of the island have more heavy waves and are typically better suited to strong swimmers and surfers. Great for the view, but you will find better beaches on the south side.

I know people on the North Shore think that this is the best beach anywhere, but it is just ok to us. The beach is not that wide, the pier is really, really ugly. The view of the ocean is really, really nice, but that is about it. We have been to beaches in various parts of the world and were very disappointed in this one.

You couldn't ask for a better backdrop for a beach than the Napoli coastline. The sand and waves are great for beginner surfing. The main drawback here is the lack of parking.
