“Worth a Stop”
Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

These falls aren't the most impressive on the island, but they are definitely worth a stop. It's an easy drive off the main highway to reach the overlook for the falls - outstanding views of the valley below. Across the street, there is a great view of the river and a recreated Hawaiian village, so there's a little more to see than just the falls. The parking lot can be crowded, but that's to be expected at a site that is so accessible on this island. You can't get close to the falls, but with a good camera, you can get some lovely pictures.

“Scenic Falls, Easy Drive to the Viewing Area”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

A nice scenic waterfall, especially if it been raining.

Like: Its an easy drive. The main scenic viewing area has decent parking and bathrooms.
Dislikes: The standard view is pretty far from the falls. It is still very scenic and I got some nice photos, but you are going to be pretty far away, unless you plan to do a hike.

Yes, there are better falls, and others that you can get close to, but I think its still worth the visit.

“Nice quick stop”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Nice quick stop. Lovely falls and across the road is the view of the river and Hawaiian Village, which is also a nice place to visit.

“Beautiful Falls”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

I've seen other reviews saying that these aren't as impressive as others, may depend on when you visit. We visited Kauai right after they had 3" of rain falling per hour and saw many waterfalls that just emerged and were cascading down the sides of mountains. I think when we visited the falls were going pretty good with run off. It is in a good location, close to some other attractions and well worth the visit.

“Not as good as Wailua Falls”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

Nice waterfalls.
In comparison to Wailua Falls, some pros and cons:

CON: the view is from much further away, at least 5 times farther away. Additionally the view is a direct eye level view which is nice but not as unique as seeing it from above and the left
PRO: there are restrooms and a larger parking lot
CON: more people and therefore more crowded
PRO: there is an additional viewing area of the the river on the other side which is nice (a two for one)

If you only have time for one, I'd pick Wailua Falls.
