This was our first time staying in Augusta. We were very pleased with the Baymont Inn and Suites. Everything was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. We will stay here again. Our only problem was we went through three remote controls for our television before we found out it was the comcast box in the room. The front desk gave us a new one which my husband installed and everything was fine.

Room Tip: Stay on a top floor

We really enjoyed staying here. We called at the last minute not knowing our plans.
They were efficient and able to fill our request for rooms. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were comfortable and spacious.
The breakfast was a very nice added touch. I would recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to or through Augusta Ga.

Room Tip: 2nd floor and very nice and quiet.

We stayed at Baymont Inn for two nights and the rooms were great. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. We had a fridge and microwave in the room which was a plus. The wait staff was very nice and attentive to our requests. The price was excellent for the area.

The negatives were few, but worth mentioning. The carpet looks to be worn and in need of replacement. The hallway on my floor had a "funky" smell, but I did not smell it on another floor. The breakfast food was hot, but not great, just average.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the tracks. Some complain that the train woke them up. i neveer heard a t...

We stayed here 4 nights in May. The room is larger than we imagined it would be and has a full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker and sink in the room, plus some kitchen style cabinets for extra storage. It was very clean.

The front desk was very friendly and when we told them someone had broken the shower curtain rod in the room, they had it fixed before we returned to our room that afternoon.

There is an early morning train some mornings that will blow it's whistle so if you are a light sleeper, like I am, it is a bit annoying.

The breakfast was lacking from other hotels we have been that offer a hot breakfast. Each day was exactly the same offerings-cold cereal, muffins, toast, bagel, make your own waffles, scrambled or round patty style eggs, biscuits and gravy, coffee, tea and juice. Each morning we were there, they never had any breakfast meat available. The last morning of our stay, there was a young track group there that filled the breakfast room and a long line waiting on food, so we didn't even bother waiting. The girl that worked the breakfast area on 2 mornings had left the coffee run out and it was always hard to find a table that had been cleaned off since the previous diner.

Overall, it was a nice stay. This was our first time at a Baymont and we will consider it again, but the breakfast is not the best out there by far.

We stayed at the Baymont Inn for one night whilst travelling between Charleston and Augusta. The room was large and comfortable with everything that we needed. However, there is a train line which passes very close in front of the hotel and I guess there must be a crossing as each train that passed sounded it's horn. At 3am in the morning this sounded very loud!
This was fine for us as we were just passing through - didn't really find anything to recommend in Augusta though.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel - may be quieter as on opposite side to the train track

We stayed at this Baymont Inn because we had an appointment at the Medical College, and we wanted to try a different place because the Hilton wanted 130.00! This hotel is a mere ten minutes away via Riverwatch Parkway, so if you are in Augusta for hospital appointments, then by all means, this hotel is a good choice. This hotel is located in a busy area right off I 20, and there is a Wendy’s and gas station next door. We were greeted upon check in by Susan, who was very friendly and efficient. Upon entering the room, we remarked about how BIG the room was, and that is in part because it has a small “kitchen” area as you walk in, with a sink, coffee maker, microwave and full size fridge. The bathroom is large too, with a large granite sink, and large tub. The bathroom was very clean! Very important to most people going to hotels, this bathroom was just that. VERY clean. My only quibbles about the bathroom is the shower head, it was very basic, no variety in the stream of water coming out, or the spray pattern; the soap…the bars provided are very small, as is the shampoo. I would hope Baymont would go with the wall mounted bathroom products like the Hiltons or Jameson Inns have done.I think they are cleaner and more cost efficient. The bed in our room was a great sleep experience! We slept great. We had a King sized bed, and we loved it. We didn’t feel each other move in the bed at all. One of the NICEST hotel beds we have slept in, HANDS DOWN! The room was very large, with a large flat screen tv that had a lot of channels, a recliner, a nice large computer chair, and a lot of space. The internet worked okay. Not spectacular. I wished they had an Ethernet option, because the wireless was just adequate. Still, I was able to get on and do my email and that was alright with me, but it was always “page cannot be displayed”. The MAIN thing about this hotel that makes it a recommended choice is: CLEANLINESS. This hotel is very clean. From the moment you walk in, the bathroom, the floors, the furniture, etc…very clean, and tidy. We didn’t partake in the free breakfast, due to early check in times at the hospital, but it looked pretty expansive for a free breakfast. There were also free warm cookies in the lobby along with a bottled water dispenser with cups. We had no problems with noise. We did hear the the train this morning at about 4:30 am, and while it did wake us, we both remarked how we love that sound, and we promptly went back to sleep! If noises like one train going by keep you up, then ask for a room on the even side of the hotel..we found it was a non issue, but light sleepers might object. This is a very nice mid range hotel. I paid $144 for two nights including tax. For a hotel this clean, with the room as big and nice as it is, you can’t beat the bargain that is Baymont Inn Riverwatch. It was a very nice stay, indeed.

Room Tip: If trains annoy you, pick a room on the EVEN side of the building.

The hotel lobby was clean and the breakfast was good. The room was clean and the full size refridgerator and microwave were nice. The bed was comfortable and the front desk staff was very helpful.

All other reviews did mention that there is a train track running directly infront of the hotel. The 4:40am train horn ended a good night sleep.
