Good collection with lots of variety. Be sure to see the back rooms where the exhibits change more frequently.

“Spend an hour or so enjoying Southern artists.”
Reviewed February 10, 2012

Walked across the street from our hotel to investigate this museum and so glad we did. It only took about an hour to tour the second floor art gallery but we enjoyed every minute. Wide variety of styles of artwork from 19th century portraits to modern works. We were enthralled with the special display of Mary Whyte's artwork. It's something all of us will remember. It's definitely worth the small price of admission.

“Recommended at another arts event - Should be seen if in the area”
Reviewed December 17, 2011

At a recent event at The Imperial I was compelled to FINALLY get myself over to The Morris (one of the oldest museums in the USA). They work quite diligently to obtain and hold some lovely works, and for that must be commended. The facility IS brilliantly done for the environs. It's not a STAND-OUT place to visit (it is in a corporate offices building) yet we're not there to see the exterior, yet that which is housed.

STaff all around are gracious and thoughtful.

Location IS good given the adjancent Riverwalk area, which is one of teh prettier areas of Augusta, as well as the small walking area of the downtrown core of Augusta proper.

This isn't a spectacular museum, yet I am pleased I attended and am thankful it's kept going with wonderful Patrons.

“A wonderful experience”
Reviewed October 20, 2008

The collections of art are amazing. The location at the Riverwalk makes this the perfect beginning to an afternoon, I understand that they have many events including afternoon musicals as well. We enjoyed the docents who were kind enough to answer questions and tell stories but were never intrusive. This is a must visit when you are in Augusta.
