The West Bank Inn has gotten consistently good revews and I can see why. Clean, friendly and economical. I stayed for two nights recently when in town to watch The Nike Peach Jam and will stay at the West Bank Inn again when I return. Try it. You'll like it!

We stayed here based on tripadvisor reviews and we were equally impressed. The staff was extremely pleasant, the rooms were immaculate and the breakfast exceeded the standard continental breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel as a great value for your money!

If you're looking for budget motel stay here. It's clean and has all the amenities of a good motel.

The breakfast is OK. Six kinds of dry cereal, instant oatmeal packets, hard boiled eggs on some days, pancakes or waffles to put in a microwave, sausage and egg patties, yogurt, mini muffins, orange juice and 2% milk and the only fresh fruit was bananas. Some other misc. stuff.

Internet is pretty fast and free.

The beds are hard economy hotel beds. I did not find it comfortable.
The rooms are just big enough for two full beds and a small table with 2 chairs.
The ceiling of our room appeared to have had a past leak. It had been repaired and quickly painted over it. I would not have found this an acceptable finish job in my own home, but this is a motel. The weatherstripping under the door left a large gap. At night traffic calmed and road noise was minimal, but noise could be heard at other times. The air conditioner was as noisy as most of the under window units you see at every motel. When it was on other outdoor noises were not heard.

The TV was the old CRT type, not LCD. One HBO channel and some basic cable channels. No other commercial free movie channels.

The massage head shower over the tub was acceptable. Bulk dispenser on wall with non-conditioner shampoo. Bring your own conditioner. The sink area was separated from the toilet/tub by a door. The area was very small. Not that you would want to, but just to describe the size, you could not use the toilet with the door open. The toilet paper is the cheapest, thinnest, roughest type on the market. Just like you would get in a public restroom in a park or a campground.

We did see one of the reddish-brown large cockroaches outside the room at the top of the stairs one night. Looks like the large space between the stair landing at the top and the edge of the building could harber many more, but we only saw one during a several night stay. I tried to kill it but it escaped into the aforementioned space.

Business center has one small CRT screen computer. Very, very basic. It shares space with the laundry room.

The one coin operated washer and dryer work, but there was no laundry soap available on-site for purchase. You can drive a short way to a dollar store for some. The dryer dried quite slowly.

There are many restaurants within walking distance and many more a short drive away.

So, I would recommend this motel for someone looking for a good budget motel. But if you were to compare this motel to a Sheraton or Hilton, it would rank much lower.

Augusta - What run-down city. Went to the river walk. Doesn't seem to be maintained at all. We walked around downtown and some of the stores are well-maintained, but most seem to be just barely hanging on. Many others are closed and in disrepair. Went to a mall and it was nice. We went to the Aquatic center so my daughter, who is a competitive swimmer could do some laps. It's a pretty nice facility. Being caucasian we were, by far, the minority race there, but my daughter had a good workout and it only cost $2. We felt safe and welcome.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be about equal distance from road noise. One side of the bulding faces west and so...

I was blown away by the service, everyone on staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. The room was spotless and very quite. This is a small hotel, if you are looking for the rude, unhelpful staff in the big hotels with 100s of rooms you won't find it here. Here you find a great staff, a manager who seems to always be around and helpful. The continental breakfast was not what I expected, I expected some muffins and maybe a waffle. What I found the first morning was chicken biscuits, sausage, eggs, muffins, fruit, cereal juice and great coffee and the manager bought some fresh hot krispy kreme doughnuts too. The next morning was just a good, when in Augusta I will definitely make this my first choice.

When you consider the cost per night, to the sevice, complimentary breakfast you get - absolute bargain!!!!!. The only reason it did not obtain a 5, was the lady on reception when we arrived - "Kissinger" was not her middle name, she had no sense of humour. The young lady on reception the follwong morning was brilliant !!!!!! Book this hotel and you can't go wrong !!!!!

Room Tip: Don't look any further, good hotel at incredible low cost !!!!

I have to say, what a great little place to stay in Augusta. It's very clean and quite affordable. We'd certainly stay there again. The lady who checked us in both Friday & Saturday evenings is just wonderful. Recommended, for sure.

My wife and I, along with another couple have just returned home from a 3 day stay at the West Bank Inn. I highly recommend this Inn. This is not a new structure, but the accommodations and service make up for that. From the time we checked in our every need was met. Mary Beth, what a lady ! You feel as if you knew her immediately. We spoke about what we were there to do, and on our next visit to the office she had printed directions and information for us. The continental breakfast was better than most and we have traveled approximately 200,000 miles since 2005. Have stayed at the Fountains in Orlando to the Donotalla in San Francisco The Inn is clean, neat and has every basic need. When returning to Augusta we will certainly stay with "Mary Beth"

Room Tip: Just tell Mary Beth what you need, she will do her best to accommodate.
