Booked a room based on TripAdvisor rating: this is #2 rated motel in Augusta. Now I know, main reason for high rating is that it is very inexpensive! Hotel is very clean, but also very worn. Mattresses very spongy. Didn't have noise problem which others have reported. Breakfast was very minimal and in some ways kinda strange (cinnamon french toast sandwich with turkey sausage wrapped in aluminum foil). Staff uniformly courteous and helpful. Message to Augusta Chamber of Commerce: if this is your #2, you have a significant problem.

Room Tip: No elevator! Also ask for room on side away from McDonalds

I go every year around this time for a bowling tournament. It was WONDERFUL for the price. Breakfast was better than most hotels where you pay more per night. Rooms are very clean.

We typically stay at large chain hotels, but the reviews were so good this place, it was hard to pass up. We booked 4 rooms for 3 days, and it was a great stay for all of us. We arrived at around 2am, and the clerk was friendly even at that late hour. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They really take great pride in their hotel. The little topiary trees outside were lovingly groomed, and the flowers were recently planted. Every day, the room was cleaned with care, and our little girl's bear was posed right in the middle of the bed. She was always happy to come back to see her 'bear bear' settled in so comfortably.

The breakfast had great variety, and our kids enjoyed going down to select their food for the morning. All of the rooms were nice, and there was no road noise at all. It was a great location right off of I-20. Service was top notch, and we will definitely stay there again.

We were quite pleased with the 'per night' cost, and the quality of service was excellent. First impressions are a plus. Upon checking in, we were received with such a warm welcome that we instantly felt at home. Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. (or so) until 9:30 a.m., with a choice of hot or cold breakfast items. However if you miss that, you can still walk over to McDonald's (before 10:30).

Our room was very nice...a modest (spacious) room with a king bed. The amenities are very comfortable. If you're looking for a hotel with a nice view, neither this (nor any other hotel in this immediate area) will be the place for you as Washington Road is a very, very busy and highly developed area almost every inch of the way between this location and Evans, Ga. However, there is absolutely no shortage of places to eat, lodge, and shop on that entire strip.

People staying here should sleep well. However, one has to contend with the constant highway noise (some nights are busier than others), and occasionally, motorcycle patrons who visit Crazy Turks restaurant next door have some quite noisy motorcycles; but, this usually quiets down by 10 p.m. or so. Now, I'm not sure how things are on the weekends; so you may want to inquire of this with the staff directly.

If I had to use just one word to describe West Bank Inn, I would say, "cozy". It's not a big place, but, you will definitely get more than your money's worth during your stay here.

Room Tip: The rooms on the south side of the hotel should be quieter. If you want a room with a nice view, I w...

Stayed during the Masters and what a pleasant surprise for a motel, very clean, comfortable, affordable, great breakfast, staff pleasant, excellent location, a minute off the I-20 on Washington Blvd, restaurant next door and all around. Recommended for sure, verses other similar category motels gouging $ but not worthy undesirable place to stay. You kow the feeling when you reveiw a property. Advice is to always avoid possible dissapointment and just go with the majority reviews. Would easily book this motel again.

Room Tip: If possible stay on opposite side of McDonalds in case busy drive thru late at night and choose grou...

The hot breakfast was outstanding! Crepes, eggs, pancakes, nuts and more. The staff went out of their way to help us. Our cousin and 91 year old Mother was traveling with us and stayed in an adjoining room and we definately will return. There was NO outside noise and we felt very safe. We stayed Saturday night and added Sunday night because it was such a great deal. The room was immaculate-more towels than we could ever use. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very nice-much nicer than the 4 star places we have stayed in the past.

I'm a repeat visitor because of the convenience to I-20 and the Masters, plenty of guilty pleasures from every fast food place imaginable and, most important, the kindness of owner David and manager Mary. They provide simple but clean, fresh and well-functioning rooms. The beds are quite comfortable, with damask linen. The bath is simple, with good pressure and shower, with fragrant soap and a shampoo dispenser that pumps a perfect measure of Breck. There's a fridge and microwave, free WiFi and a big tube TV that reminds me of how bright those soon-to-be-relics are.

Recently a night club opened next door, so there's music playing next door until 10:30pm. This may not last, and we easily got accustomed to it, using the air conditioner and TV. I like the view on that side, and the motel has a gazebo where you can enjoy the live, chill music next door for free with a your own wine and beer. But if you think the music will disturb your sleep, then request a room on the east side, facing away.

Whether for the Masters or not, this is where I'd stay. It's the best value in Augusta.

Room Tip: Nightclub music stops promptly at 10:30 pm, but if it bothers you, and you need to get to sleep earl...
