These gardens are a gem in Athens! Even in the winter months there were things to see and the luncheon for our conference was excellent. We really enjoyed the beautiful orchids!

Loved the botanical gardens. We were there in March when not a lot was in bloom, except of course the Magnolias, camellias and daffodils everywhere. But it was still gorgeous. Several walking trails to suit all tastes and all levels of difficulty,. The conservatory is stunning and the best news of all - it's all entirely free. Well worth a visit.

We like to be active when outside and the Botanical Gardens have some beautiful hiking trails along creeks and rivers! Plus awesome foilage anytime of year. During the spring we love to bring a picnic. The garden also features a beautiful wood chapel for quaint small weddings, as well as beautiful indoor and outdoor venues to host receptions. The gift shop is a forgotten place to find unique and well priced gifts! A revolving display of artwork is also noteworthy. HINT to BRIDES...plan to have your picture made under the huge canopy of wisteria during it's blooming season....gorgeous!

The cold and wintery landscape of the Botanical Gardens should not be a deterrent for a visit. There is much to learn about trees and landscapes in their winter rest period and the tropical environs of the main building will life spirits and be a delight to the eyes.

Very peaceful and well manicured. The conservatory was nice, but since it is winter--nothing was blooming outside. I will return in about 6 weeks to see the bulbs.
