Jason's continues to amaze. They seem to have the secret to putting together the most interesting flavors. Cuban Panini, Nutty Mixed-Up Salad, Organic Basil Tomato Soup--all outstanding. Salad bar is quite good. Staff typically go out of their way to make certain you have what you need. If not, they immediately take care to satisfy. They do not object to minor changes--something I really appreciate. I mean, does it really matter if I want Swiss over Cheddar cheese? Fruit has always been fresh and appropriately ripe.

Prices may seem a bit on the high side until you accurately look at size of portion and quality of food.

Of course I've eaten at Jason's Delis before; they're not a new chain, but this one in particular stands out as being really nice. The staff is always friendly, (but not in that unbearably annoying and overattentive way. No one has even interrupted my conversation to say, "AND HOW ARE YOU ENJOYING EVERYTHING TODAY, FOLKS?) It's always clean and pleasant, the salad bar never looks picked over or unappealing, and every now and again there are new and interesting desserts to try.

I don't go for the sandwiches. They aren't bad, but you can find a sandwich just as good for a cheaper price at a lot of places in Athens. I do like the soups, though, and the availability of gluten free options for my friend's little girl with celiac's. Also, the salad bar just might be the best salad bar in town. Probably the best option, though, is half a sandwich and a cup of soup. Then you get to try more than one thing and form your own opinions.

This is, definitively, a good place to have lunch. It's not a hopping place at night, though they have a steady stream of customers depending on the time of week. Around 11-1, though, It bubbles with activity, the noise level maintaining pretty evenly at, "I can hear the person I'm talking to, but there's still lots of chatter going on." The staff whizzes by to bus your plates for you without interrupting your conversation, but are happy to gab with you if the mood suits.

You won't get out of there for under 6$, and you're more likely to be looking at 10-12$ for lunch for one person, so, depending on your budget, this may not be somewhere that you can eat all the time, but its one of my favorite spots to meet up with friends who work in different building to catch up and have something a little tastier than usual, so if you're looking for that, this is your place.

We went to Jason's Deli several times, as they have a salad bar with a lot of good choices. It is good for gluten issues and those who are eating a fodmap diet. The sandwiches are pretty good, though one time the bread was pretty dried out, but the second time the bread really good. Different choices of bread. I have had the tomato soup and the french onion soup and both were ok. Their turkey is really good, so you cannot go wrong with a turkey sandwich. Also, they have really good pickles on the salad bar. And, don't forget to get a swirl cone of chocolate and vanilla ice cream for dessert. The employees are exceptionally friendly, helpful and on the spot to help you at any time.

When I am in Athens, I always eat at Jason's. Their food is always good and so is the service. I am on a restricted diet, and they are very helpful.
