Going to DePalma's is a tradition when we are in Athens, GA. The atmosphere is peppy - especially on game day, and the food really is very good. Calzones are big - although it seemed like the portion was a little smaller this time, compared to a few years back. Still, my husband ended up bringing some of his home so I guess the portion size is certainly hearty. My spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce was delicious. The bread brought to table ahead of the meal is very nice; pleased to see a pat of butter on the bread plate. The oil & vinegar combination was not to my taste. Wait time is considerable on a Saturday night. Do not go to this place if you are in a rush. Take your time; enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant that has managed to stay in business for several years in a busy college town.
