I was visiting Athens and looking for a more affordable nice restaurant. This place was great! The atmosphere, service and food quality was that I would expect at a much more expensive place. The homemade bread sticks (more like a Stromboli once you add toppings) were amazing. Pasta tasted homemade. Great drink selection at the bar and the staff was friendly. Definitely try this place before you bother with some of the pricer options in Athens.

DePalma's has been around a long time in Athens, yet has maintained quality food. A great place to have a quite dinner. Their dishes are well prepared and the quantity is such that you normally leave with a "doggy bag."

No matter what I order, I always get something that is delicious. Whether it's their special of the day, seafood and pasta, or greek salads, it's all great food.

The one downtown Athens on Broad Street has a dark interior, candlelit, good food. There are two other locations--one on Timothy Road and one on Gaines School Road (this is the "east side" location). It can be a little loud in that the kitchen has an open window and stays busy. For a starter try the foccia bread and smoked gouda/spinach queso...it is really good. If you like all kinds of seafood and like it spicy then try the Seafood Charmaine. It has shrimp & sea scallops sautéed with a spicy sun–dried tomato, spinach & jalapeño cream sauce over fettuccine. For a safer, more traditional choice, the Pasta DePalma (w/chicken) is great.
