Went for lunch on a nice sunny day. Not too many tables were occupied. The waiter was prompt and friendly. The lunch menu was disappointing--fairly limited. It took way too long for the food to come out of the kitchen (especially for the amount of diners they had). There was nothing to munch on while you waited. Some bread or some olives would have been nice since we were drinking a bottle of wine. I had the Pates Au Four (pasta/cheeses) which was served too hot. It was average. His Croque Monsieur was good. There is some outside seating which appears to be pet friendly. This place has potential.

I'm surprised at where this restaurant is in the rankings. Lower than Mello Mushroom for God's sake! Anyways, this is a neat place to eat especially if you like dining outside. They have tables on the street that put you on the frontlines of people watching which can be a great thing in a college town and feels very european. We had the French Onion Soup, Rillete De Saumon and for entrees the Pates Au Four and Salade Nicoise. All were very good. I don't pretend to know a lot about french cuisine but I do know if the food I eat is good or not and this was very good.

After dinner was coffee - French Press style and a cognac. Our service was excellent and friendly. My business associate had some special requests that were met promptly and without resistance. We enjoyed the atmosphere and took up a table for two-and-a-half hours but were treated courteously and never rushed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will dine there again when in town.

If you like high-end restaurants you will love this place. We spotted this place the last time we were in town and decided to try it--and we are glad we did. The cuisine is straight French as are the wines, although I would have preferred the wine list to include some good California wines. Our server was a girl in her twenties but she was skilled in the art of service. The only quibble about the service was that the server did not crumb the table, but then we didn't order dessert so no harm there. The place is casual, paper on top of linen tablecloths and interesting artwork. We will be coming back the next time we are in town.

This was a pleasant surprise. We have been to the Brasserie twice now in the last 4 weeks and both times left impressed. Our first visit started with a request for blue cheese olives for a martini. The waitress responded "We don't have any but I will make you some". They were delicious, as was the rest of the meal. From the escargot to the lamb shank, not a morsel remained after either visit. A great place to enjoy a fine meal!
Ask for one of the seats in the window and you can watch the downtown Athens crowd mill around while you eat a wonderful meal!

Cute decor, but could be more like a real French brasserie. Handsome looking bar. Nice waiter. You may want to dust your fans and the heating and air ducts on the ceiling before the dust gets into food and drink---look up!! Truly inexperienced cook in the kitchen at lunch on a Tuesday. The steak on the "steak-frites" entrée was cold, really cold---had to send it back! Real French "frites" are much NARROWER than the ones served here, and CRISPY and HOT. These were anyting but. The hamburger for the second order was not well formed and the mushrooms were not wild and we could only count 7 of them. Please try harder! It is not really difficult to make brasserie food, even in the USA.
$50 for two with 2 glasses of mediocre Calif. Pinot Noir with no terroir.
