Assuming that you have the time and wherewithall to make the trip, it is a trip worth making. I've been here several times in the past ten years -- each time to spend about 1-2 hours -- and aside from the large statue of Christ on the park's grounds, arguably the park is an expanse of humble gardens, a park, and a very small zoo. The park is nicer now than any previous visit, and the cost is cheap. Probably the best vantage point anywhere to see the expanse of Tegucigalpa laid out nicely below you. You can even watch the jets land after winding their way in through the mountains -- yes, likely you experienced that unique experience getting here from within a plane. One gets a view of the hazy city with the benefit of crisp clean air, and all the bustle down below with almost infinite quiet (ok, you may encounter a busload of schoolchildren, but generally this is a very uncrowded locale). Peaceful.
