“Abundant and Delicious”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

It is a very popular Carne Asada restaurant. The food is delicious and the ambiance is nice. It is a great place to go as a couple or in a large group. A nice touch is that waitresses are dressed in traditional Honduran clothes and they serve mostly traditional dishes and desserts. A tip, if you ask the mariachi for a song you will have to pay them, they are not free entertainment!

“Could be so much better”
Reviewed May 26, 2014

This was one of my favorites restaurants in Tegucigalpa...when it was small and all details were taken care of.
Unfortunately, now seems it only matters how many people can seat and serve to earn money, but not to meet quality.
Tableware is not that neat...sometimes they serve in broken dishes....
I wish they can start all over and serve their famous dishes as they use to do , many, many, many years ago

“Disgusting”
Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

As a Tegucigalpa native I know this place has been one of the best traditional stake houses in town, and was known for having international celebrities and socialites as customers since their opeming around 50 years ago, but has been lowering quality every day.
I moved in to Zurich, Switzerland five years ago; and I wanted to go there on my next visit to my hometown because it was my favourite steakhouse when I lived in TGU.
To my disappointment, everything had changed for worst:
- Bad service; the place was empty and they took too much time to take my order... and the waiter was grouchy and disrespectful.
- Bad hygiene; the dinnerware were rusted and had remains of food. Our table was dirty and to make it worse, the waiter "cleaned" it with a stinky cloth. Judging by the bad hygiene I saw by far, I went to the powder room and was filthy as I expected.
- The food; they brought in the "anafre" (its like a small ceramic grill were they serve red beans with tortilla chips and another one with cheese and tomato bits) and it wasn't even on, the cheese (quesillo) was out of date, the red beans were cold. The rest of the snacks were cold, and soggy. The meat was hard, flavourless, cold, and I honestly felt like I was chewing rubber instead of beef.
- The average price range is inbetween $10 and $25, I think it is overpriced after evaluating their service and quality.

IN CONCLUSION:
There are more steakhouses in town that have way better food; where quality, customer service is their priority, and you receive what you pay for.

“Great”

The food is awesome, they have the best steak. The only bad thing is that's the service is a bit slow, but besides that it's great!
