“Atmospheric lighting, piquant scents wafting through the air...like a small piece of Italy in Honduras!”

I don't know if it's the Italian heritage in me, or simply the intrinsic goodness found in Italian cuisine, but my taste buds never fail to be excited by it. Even mediocre imitation Italian restaurants usually offer at least one dish that will sate my cravings. I didn't have entirely high expectations of an Italian restaurant being very authentic in San Pedro Sula, but as soon as I walked into the romantically-lighted interior, I felt like I had returned to the little locale in Rome that I had visited so many years before.
When the food came, it was just as delectable. I had a seafood pasta with baby octopus, cooked perfectly, and with a pleasurable white sauce infused with mediterranean spices. We had a delightful dinner, and had quite a bit left over since the portions were so large. I would go back to Tre Fratelli in a heartbeat!

After last year's recession, I have found the economy has taken its toll on many restaurants in San Pedro. The result, as I have noticed, is reflected in compromised ingredient quality and limited menu ranges. This establishment stands as the exception to such downgrades.
My party of three thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere (calm and clean) and attentive waiters. As for the food, my suggestion is let go of your obsessive compulsive inclinations, elaborate some guidelines for food preferences and allow the chef to indulge the palette of a true foodie, and thus you will find some real gastronomic gems in this restaurant. The highlights for me were the brick over pizza (soooo crunchy), spinach lasagna, and a plate, who's name eludes me this very second, but I know it was comprised of beef tips and potatoes (yes, I did try other people's dishes, scorn me if you must :p); and being the sucker for appetizers that I am, I loved the peruvian shrimp-only ceviche (not on the menu, by request only), the fried calamari, and the beef carpaccio. They're my new craving-prone dishes! Although they are categorically a chain restaurant, their menu has a local flair and adjustments which is a nice change of pace from the generic, cookie-cutter dishes of other major chain food restaurants.
I was surprised to read the negative review it had received. I am inclined to believe it was the result of some unsuccessful ruse to get a free meal ticket or some unmeritorious blogger trying to get their stripes in the world of food reviews.

Maybe i might sound difficult and choosy .
but i am not such a big fan of Tre Fratelli food.
the reason i go back there, though, is it's quiet and there and you can enjoy your dinner. Seems the people come there to dine are well educated and have good manners.
