Everything was faultless from the liaison with Ryan beforehand, the pick up at the airport to the great service, great food and outdoor activities. Have not felt so relaxed and well looked after for a long time. Will be back!

Staying at Las Cascadas Lodge was a wonderful experience. The manager, Ryan, was a dream to deal with via email prior to our arrival and also during our stay. He arranged all of our excursions that we wanted to do, made us feel welcome the entire time and tended to anything that we required.

We stayed in the Bejuco Cabin which is the only solo cabin on the property. It is stunning and very well appointed. This room has a gorgeous outdoor rainshower, beautiful stone bathtub and even a complete view of a waterfall from the bed. You cannot ask for a more relaxing setting.

We did the white water rafting tour and horseback riding with Omega Tours who were fantastic and very professional. We also hiked up to the 60m waterfall in Pico Bonito which was a beauty. We also visited the women's sewing cooperative which was an interesting and heart pumping experience to get to (hanging basket over rapids).

There are multiple waterfalls on the property but the most stunning one is the upper falls that is about a 20 - 30 minute walk from the lodge. These falls feel like your own private oasis and look like something out of a movie. Wow.

All of the food served was delicious and a lot of care was taken in the preparation. Olvin and his team did an outstanding job with all of the food and fresh juices (yum, yum, yum) every day. Olvin's chili sauce is some of the most delicious I have ever had.

Thank you to the entire team at Las Cascadas Lodge - we will highly recommend you to everyone that we can. Our stay was an amazing experience that we will never forget.

This resort is nestled in the middle of Pico Bonito National Park. On-Site there's a wonderful waterfall that has two spots to swim in. One of them is easily accessible to guests (a one minute walk) the other is a 30 minute hike that offers a rewarding view. This waterfall is beautiful and even more majestic that the larger fall in the park that requires a 3 to 4 hour round-trip hike.

The staff including Ryan and Maggie is really what sets this place apart. They make you feel like you are at home.

All of the activities were arranged for us, and the tour company they used was very professional. I would recommend either the horse back riding, white water rafting, or the guided hike, as they were all fun and worth doing.

The scenery was quite stunning with beautiful mountains and jungle. I would recommend to anyone.

Las Cascadas lives up to all the good reviews and more. Beautiful, intimate and private. The lodge is like staying at someone's private home. Ryan and Maggie do a wonderful job of making you feel welcome and relaxed. All the meals were fantastic! The evening meals were even served by candlelight looking out at the falls. Very romantic.

The hike to the upper waterfall on the lodge property takes about 20 minutes and you can swim at the top in the waterfall pool if you want. The water is brisk and refreshing! It felt like we were the only 2 people in the world. I would recommend bringing aqua sandals so it's easier to get in and out of the water on the slippery stones.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The food was excellent! We would highly recommend staying at Las Cascadas.

So, from the moment we entered the large green gates we were blown away!!!! My girlfriend and I have travelled a lot but we both said that Las Cascades was far the best place we have ever stayed. It is beautiful. From the outstanding waterfalls which are outside your bedroom to the magnificent service from Ryan, Maggie and Olvin.. If you Visit you will not be disappointed.

Thank you, we had the time of our lives. We will be back soon for sure...

From the beautiful lodge itself (and heavenly rooms), to the personalised service of the hosts Ryan and Maggie and everything in between - Las Cascadas was the perfect long weekend. Olvin made sure you had your every meal cooked just the way you liked it and the Jungle River Lodge down the road ensured that after soaking up all that Las Cascadas had to offer there was adventure to be had. At the end of my time there it was the old cliche about never wanting to leave. An excellent stay, highly recommended!

Room Tip: No rooms are bad rooms as there are only three! Two in the main lodge near the waterfall, and one a...
