Hotel was full but they are opening a second hostel (El Abuela) further up the hill in town where we stayed. Clean and comfortable private room with fan but noisy being at edge of town with roosters and dogs in early morning. Good kitchen facilities and cheap water bottle refills. Able to access all facilities at main hostel closer to town. Wifi inconsistent but better at Hotel Berekah. Good services for tours to out of town places.
Not far off Parque Central-good solid restaurant across the road and probably the closest hostel to the ruins. Cop an is a quaint town but as I've been travelling for 6 months I've seen a lot of quaint towns-this town is expensive when compared to others but this hostel was pretty good-just realise that the sound travels from the terrace but overall-pretty good
It is a really solid option, although there are many in this little town that probably would not exist without nearby ruins. My private room was nice and clean, but it is located on ground floor, right opposite the reception so it was really noisy till late in the night and from very early in the morning. Upstairs dorms seem like a very solid and much more peaceful option. Service is great - owner is really helpful and french girl volunteering is also really committed. There is a cool barbecue place right across - ask the hotel owner to arrange you some nice discounts. Via via is the center of life in the small town, but it is really just a few minutes away and Berakah is much more quiet. It has a cool terrace perfect for relaxing with a beer or two. My only other complaint is that it was relatively expensive compared to other options.
The owners are super friendly and will do almost anything to make your stay pleasant. Really close to town and has a sweet terrace for hanging out. Kitchen could be a bit bigger, but all in all - it's great!
Yes I agree with everyone else! This is a great value place to stay. We stayed 2 nights which gave us time to see the ruins ( a short walk away), go to the amazing hot pools, and visit the beautiful Macaw Mountain. I recommend them all.
We had a private room with own bathroom - very clean, comfortable for $22 a night. A little noisy around the area - maybe they were playing a soccer game at a nearby restaurant late one night, but Brian put his earplugs in, and I can sleep through most things! And it was Semana Santa.
I was surprised, the shop at the ruins itself was cheaper than Casa Todos for handcrafts, plus they would barter the prices even lower.
Clean, affordable, great location and the nicest owners and staff in the city! Special thanks to Ferny, Yoyo, Safi, Jack Sparrow, Cece and Raph. (They do not all have ridiculous names, we just all came up with nicknames for each other.)
After my time there it felt like I had a 2nd family in Honduras. I went on excursions with them, explored the city and drank beer. If you're looking for the nicest people with the best information in all of Copan you have to stay here!
