Met with warm welcome to very clean basic rooms with excellent air conditioning in each room .
Good armed security . Different breakfast each morning and tasty dinners . Probably the best hotel this city has to offer. Most important you can use the Ice in your drinks

Room Tip: Higher floors less noise from center court yard

I just returned from a week at this beautiful hotel. It was my second visit and Byron and Karla treated me and the group I was with like family! TMy room was large and very clean. The entire staff exceeds all expectations, and the language barrier is almost non-existent because so many of the staff speak English. Marco, the chef, was amazing. His meals were delicious! I hope that next year I can once again visit Hotel la Posada De Mi Viejo and the wonderful people there!

When we stayed, the place was always clean and staff attentive and providing very good service. They have lots of English speaking staff, our room had a fridge and a safe. Maid service was consistent and sheets and towels were changed out often, you can opt how frequently, daily or every other day.

Hot water is piped in, nice since I am paranoid about on demand electrical water heaters. Having live electricity connected to a shower head always seemed to me like an accident waiting to happen. Anyway, water is hot in the morning, lukewarm during the day, then gets heated up again in the evening. You get a choice of breakfast, tipico (local menu) or whatever North American special they pick for the day. In room wifi was reliable but very asynchronous, it hovered between 1 MB to 2 MB down and 600 KB to 700 KB up.

The location is not the best if you are walking, since it is out of the way, but close to main thoroughfares if you are driving. They have one or two guards on constant duty, the hotel is gated, and front entry is secured at night. I think this is good in a country where the sound of gunfire at night seems commonplace. While relatively pricey for Central America, the service, amenities, security, Internet added up to make this place a good value.

Very nice hotel, pleasant stay, large room, everything was a success. Guarded parking behind a fence, is a plus, and indeed it's not a place to walk around by night though, but this is true in many Honduran cities. We slept here, had a late evening meal on the cafe on the main place, then drove in the morning to the airport to catch our noon flight back to the US.

On June 2013, my husband and I went to Honduras for our vacation and stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The staff was friendly asking if we need help, also very clean rooms and excellent food. I remember the "honduran style" breakfast was great!! Thanks Byron and Karla for your attention and your willingness to help us in every need. Overall, great service and a pleasant stay. I definitely recommend this hotel if your stay is in Comayagua, wont be dissapointed.
