Don't get me wrong..Yes.. Milady is more than friendly and tries her over best to be accommodating, friendly and helpful...but a review should not be based on the owner/ receptionist alone? We booked this place in hope of a quiet, clean place to relax and have a good night sleep. Instead however we had 1 of the dogs running into our room before we even went in and there were stains everywhere on the floor. We got woken up by the dogs barking and the second night we had flies everywhere..crawling over us at night. The walls were so thin that we heard every word of our neighbours as well as them having sex. We were worried that they would hear us that we spent the whole evening whispering to each other. In all the days we spent there we had none cleaning our place and it was filthy with a cute little ghecco having a little accident on our pillows. There was even a bush of hair on the wall in the bathroom which must have been there for quite a while and the mirrors were dirty. We were asked to pay a deposit for our booking however when it came to paying for our nights we were asked to pay the paypal charge she lost on top of it! Really?! Be aware that there is extra charge for electricity and wifi also. I don't want to put her business down but unfortunately we did not feel comfortable at this place which was a shame as it did not live up to the paradise reviews written. Unfortunately there is room for improvement.
Chez Milady Apartments are so green. There are three wonderful dogs which are extremely nice and playful. Upon walking on property, you instantly feel the positive energies coming from this place. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone who wants to get away from all the noise and stress a city brings. So feel at peace and comfortable with your decision and go to Chez Milady once you get in Utila.:)
First of all, I have over 100 yelp reviews and would like to note that this will be my favorite review to write. Last week, I had the privilege of being a guest at Chez Milady. We booked our stay not even 30 minutes prior to showing up and even with such short notice, Milady welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. She speaks both Spanish and English for anyone who is not fluent in Spanish. With never having traveled to Utila, we were unsure of where to go. Milady was very attentive and also extremely helpful when giving advice on where to eat and whether it was reasonably priced or a little more on the expensive side, where to hang out, and mentioned all there was to do on the island. She even took time out of her day to show us around town to ensure we would find our way. The apartment was beautifully decorated with her paintings, had A/C and a fan, and hot water with plenty of pressure. One thing that is extremely hard to find in Utila. If you decide to stay at Chez Milady, take some time to get to know her. She is one of the most influential, artistic, and beautiful souls I have ever met. We were only looking for a place to rest and we wound up finding a small piece of heaven! If you are a nature lover or looking to relax without hearing the loud noise from a city, I highly recommend staying here!
We stayed 4 nights in one of Chez Milady's private rooms. We were expecting the 15 minute walk into town, so that didn't bother us. We chose this accommodation as we wanted somewhere quiet and away from the partying, but unfortunately this didn't pay off. One night a rave started at a neighbouring property which played very loud music all night and I couldn't sleep at all. Obviously this is not the fault of Chez Milady but it's good for potential guests to be aware of this. There are a few dogs on the property, which is great for security, but they do tend to bark occasionally from around 7am, so not the best for people who want a lie in. I would strongly recommend bringing your own mosquito net, as their bites are bad on Utila. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay and there had been a lot of rain, so it ended up feeling a bit dirty. If I had my time again, I would stay at one of the dive shops which offer free and reduced rate accommodation for divers.
Excellent accommodations for long term diving adventures and training. Quiet location with stunning sunrises. The hosting and client service is exceptional. For those seeking reasonable rates for their IDC training or Tec Rec long term stay this is the location of choice away from the distractions of Utila.

Milady is the BEST hotelowner we ever met. We stayed over a week at her house and we had the best time ever. She picked us up from the ferry terminal and showed us afterwards the town of Utila. The Bungalow was just perfekt for us, the beds where so comfy. We had the best "travel"-holiday at her place. Thank you for everything, Andi and Jacqueline
