We visited Gumbalimba park as an excursion from a Carnival Cruise. The tour was called Pirates Parrots and Monkeys ( in some order). We had an excellent tour guide, Teddy, who spent the time explaining things to us. We got to see a lot of birds and got our pictures taken with them. You could buy their pictures or take your own. After that, we went on to the monkeys. They were encouraged to sit on people's shoulders by being given sunflower seeds. We stayed here for a while and truly enjoyed ourselves.

After the scheduled tour, we had some time to go to the beach or walk around. We chose to go to the beach and snorkel a bit. We had our own mask and snorkel with us, There was a fellow on the beach who offered to take us out to the reef for "a tip" He got us fins and an inflatable vest for $5 (total for both of us) and took us out. He guided us past the boat lanes and out to the reef. We swam around for a while and saw an abundance of fish, coral and even a lobster!
Back on shore, we gave him his gear back and tipped him what we considered a very moderate amount ( but he considered a great tip) and were thrilled with our experience.

The park has refreshments available, clean restrooms and lockers to rent. A beautiful day on a beautiful island...what more could you want?

Was staying at the HM they came and picked us up front door service dropped us off on what I thought was the side of the road filled out some papers saying its my fault if I die Jk after that was done we were fitted with our gear and away we went out on the tree tops at first I wasn't sure if this is what I really wanted to do I guess with age you get something called fear, well that was gone out the window my first zip-line such a great time and the instructors that came with us were the best very friendly funny and helpful. After the zipline was done we headed to the park to see the Capuchin Monkeys and other animals the park has to offer.. Was worth every bit of the 55 dollars..

took a tour of the Gumbalimba Park as part of the Carnival Dream daily excursions, it was a nice easy way to spend the morning. The park has refreshments and snacks available, also lockers were available for $3 daily rental to keep belongings secure, along with bathrooms and changing facilities near the beach area. Tour of the animals, monkeys. parrots, insectarium, and manmade cave were informative and interesting. Grounds are very well kept and it's an easy walk around the park. Priates bridge is fun to cross and provides a nice photo. The ziplines overhead seemed to be very good and were being enjoyed by many (we did not participate), but it looked great. The beach was a bit of a diappointment, did not look particularly inviting, lots of trash and seaweed, and the grey sand was not what I thought for a Caribbean location. The park on the whole was worth visiting and a nice way to spend a day.

We all had a fun time. The staff was funny and very experienced. We had Kirk and Mario. I cannot remember the photo guys name. We were a group of five. If you are scared they come with you and you do learn. Great teachers. They have 13 platforms so you do a lot for a great price. They have a beautiful park to see after. I would recommend this tour. You can buy pictures if you want too. We went through sunwing.

This was the only cruise operated tour that we did on our recent NCL trip. Yes it was a little bit more "set-up" than I usually like, but it was really a blast. Mon younger son said it was the best part of the trip. The grounds and bridge are beautiful, and the monkey are the absolute best. We seem to spend a good deal of time with them and the parrots. They were very interesting, and all over us! We saw many lizards, hummingbirds, and plants as well. Could skip the cave, but the kids liked it and it only took 5 minutes. We had plenty of time after to hit the amazing beach and snorkel. Well worth the stop!!!
