“Easy day on beautiful island with great, friendly service!”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Took a group of 6 of us from Grand Mariner ship to spend about 6 hours on island. Great service: they even hired a taxi to pick us up at the ship so we didn't have to wait for their van to return, and made sure taxi stopped at a pharmacy on way back, as we requested (Roatan cheaper than Mexico for meds)! Taxi driver may have name Larry, and gave us some nice touristy facts about Roatan!
Lunch of lobster, shrimp & chicken delicious. Two kaluah frozen drinks included (Monkey LaLas=ooh,LaLa!) Took 4 of us out to reef to snorkel, always get life jackets to snorkel out in rough ocean: safer & more relaxing! Two of our group kayaked around island. One enjoyed jumping off dive deck after 2 monkeylalas! Attentive, friendly service from all, especially George!
Two suggestions: Even though party boat transfer is only about 200 yards, life jackets should be offered to passengers and required for children! Not sure snorkel equipment was washed really well with soap and water. Some had sand in it. Should be washed with disinfectant. Overall, this was great value, great service, lovely island with waterbeds, hammocks, chaise lounges, and just a fabulous day for the money ($88 basic, $98 w/snorkel and 10% discount for group of ten)! Ship charged more for much less in amenities for similar island trip.

“Little bit of paradise”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We just returned from our Princess cruise to Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel, and I am so glad we booked a non-ship excursion to Little French Key. It was absolutely gorgeous and inspiring and relaxing. We had an awesome lunch (I'm a vegan and had a wonderful special lunch, and my husband had great lobster, shrimp and other non-vegan stuff :)), were able to relax in their hammocks, had super yummy drinks called Monkey Lalas, and swam in the crayon-colored waters. Couldn't have asked for a better day off the ship.
I want to move to Roatan!

“If you don't go here in Roatan, you've wasted your trip...”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

My wife and I booked an excursion here in February 2013 off the Carnival Dream. They offer a variety of packages, but the base island package with lunch was $88. I think their rate has gone up dramatically in the past year, probably due to the good press, but I have to say it was absolutely worth it! We were met right outside the port and we waited maybe 10 minutes curbside for other people to show up before we were escorted right away to Frenchy 44's. The drive took maybe 20 minutes. Our young driver was very knowledgeable about the island and it's history. Upon arrival, we paid our balance and got right onto a raft heading out to the island. It's not more than 300 yards from the main island, so it's a super short trip. Once you get out there you have to take a short little tour but afterwards you're released to enjoy the island. There is plenty of snorkel equipment, a deck to jump from into the lagoon, a few 1 and 2 person kayaks, and plenty of loungers and hammocks to go around. The food (provided in our price) was absolutely delicious and our 2 drinks (also included) were very tasty. The water is beautiful. If you're into snorkeling like me, there are 3 buoys around the far side of another island you can kayak to and tie up and snorkel. If you don't mind the open water and a little waves, you absolutely have to go around to the farthest buoy and tie up. The reef there is beautiful and fish are plentiful. It takes about 15 minutes to get there in the kayak, but worth it. There are also some rescue monkeys and birds on the island. The handler will take you in with the monkeys if you ask. We spent about 20 minutes in the cage with some spider monkeys and took lots of pictures as they cuddled with us. There is truly something for everyone on this island - you can be as active or relaxed as you want. We were there for about 6 hours and they got us back in plenty of time to the cruise ship. We had time to shop still before getting back on. The only complaint I could see is that they might run out of kayaks depending on the makeup of the group, but it wasn't a problem with ours. Little French Key is an absolute must!

“A quick trip”
Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

We went to little French key on a shore excursion in February . I read all those reviews . I thought for 76.00 dollars it wasn't worth the money. There were not enough rafts for us. Yes it was beautiful but to pricey.

Thank you so much for your kind words about our Island being beautiful.....we can truly state that simply a lack of imagination and lack of time can find our Private Island Paradise as a ¨quick trip¨ and not worthwhile!

We have plenty of water crafts and kayaks for enjoyment of our guests if they are not in a hurry such as yourself and they simply inquire....

Thank you for your review and may God Bless you and yours ....

“Most awesome birthday ever!!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

I don't know if I can even tell you just how awesome this little piece of paradise truly is. If you want to feel like you are stuck on your own private island with a beautiful beach, a bar, access to snorkeling, and the best afternoon you'll ever spend with spider monkeys, this is the place. It's gorgeous. The folks that take care of you there are awesome. Cesar is an excellent host/waiter who attends to everyone's needs. Matthew is an awesome animal caretaker who let us spend a HUGE chunk of time playing with the monkeys. It made my bday!!!! They were very sweet and made me a Monkey La La frozen drink for my bday celebration. So delicious. We were so sad to leave we missed the first ferry and they had to come back for us. The owner, Moshe, from southern CA, walks around checks to see if everyone is having a good time. We have already looked at airfare to go back to Roatan just to get day passes to go back. We loved it!!!!! Thanks for a great day.
