After reading all the reviews we really looked forward to our stay at Camp Bay Beach. In the end we left halfway our stay. I think it is mostly a matter of personal interest so I will try to be as objective as possible.
Fist of all. The location is great. You are literally on the beach. It is very remote and away from all the crowd. Nice and quiet, just what we where looking for. The beach is amazing, and we had it all to ourself when we where there. You can do some nice snorkeling (you can rent goggles and fins for $5 a day) and see some fish.
This is all that was great in our stay. The room got two one person beds and a small bathroom. It was clean and all, but way to basic for the price ($49 exclusive the 16% tax).
The restaurant is ok, but overpriced and not as good as I would have expected from the other reviews. They use a lot of salt in the main the dishes to give a flavor boost, which is not my choice for cooking.
The staff is helpful in a way, but not wholeheartedly. We felt like we really had to push a little to get some things done.
In the end I guess it all depends on personal preference and expectations of a lodge.
