“Cruise Excursion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

Myself, my husband, and another couple spent our port day at Foster's. We were picked up and given a tour of the island by Foster's son, who was wonderful. We arrived on the property and were given 4 chairs under a palapa. The property was beautiful, with soft sand and clear, calm water. Part of our day was spent in the ocean and part at the bar. My husband and his friend had plenty of rum punches, while us ladies indulged in local beer and the wonderful monkey la la drinks. The food was excellent and the staff was a lot of fun. Erick was awesome! We had a wonderful chat with the owner Leslie and I'm hoping to go back and spend a week in the vacation villas. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a relaxing excursion day or an extended trip to Honduras.

Enjoyed lunch here. My sister said her vegetable pasta was some of the best she had ever tasted. I enjoyed very fresh fish and chips. Nice atmosphere, pretty on the beach

“ehh, disappointed in the food.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

refer to my other review for my stay in the treehouse (awesome).
based on the other reviews for the restaurant i may have had the exception. i was very excited about having some blackened snapper. it was kind of...soppy? that is the best word i could think of. for $15 it was very disappointing. i regret not getting some key lime pie!
i also discovered the breakfast menu too late on my last day. it looked great and wish i had tried that too.
i would give this place another chance based on the other reviews.

“Best Key Lime Pie in-the-world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

The Beach Bar at Fosters is the go to place when visiting West Bay. The food here is excellent including the breakfast as well as the dinners. Leslie is the restaurant and bar owner and provides wonderful personalized service. Eric is just one of the waiter staff that is always very pleasant, including remembering your favorite drink. The bands that play here at night are well versed in island music as well as American favorites. Dancing at night on the beach to a live band can create a memorable experience. However, its the key lime pie that will bring us back. Leslie makes these pies fresh, from scratch every day and they are good. When visiting West Bay make sure to cut out some time for a night out of dinning and dancing at Fosters.

“Really good food, nice staff and fun times!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

Had a lot of meals at Fosters West Bay restaurant while we were on Roatan. My wife and I really enjoyed the variety at breakfast. They make their french toast with the local coconut bread and also the baleadas for breakfast are very tasty. The restaurant has specials everyday and soon we started keeping track of which day is was depending on that night's special. The big night is the Lobster Thursday and they had a real fun band and a nice crowd. We all ended up dancing on the sand. Actually this was our best night on our vacation. They make super blended drinks and have happy hour specials. They have one of the fullest stocked bar that we saw on the beach. We enjoyed evey meal we had at Fosters- fish tacos, the coconut shrimp are really good, fresh blackened snapper. They do not make fancy, they make simple and good. And super desserts fresh made. Best key lime pie I have ever tasted. We had many a happy hour drink on their swing palapas right on the beach. Staff was friendly, attentive and fun. Leslie and Marty are great hosts and make you feel like you are at home right away. They just adopted an island puppy, named Spuds and spuds follows them around like a shadow. Also Fosters is one of the few restaurants that we noticed that locals are welcome and come to and part of our vacation experience was to meet a lot of the local people of the island. Super friendly people. Lots of monkelylalas and lots of laughter.
