Hi,
If your missing some good old fashioned American home cooking, don´t miss Aeropagus Cafe. From biscuits and gravy with home fries, waffles, bagels, great burgers, potato salad, soups, Apple pie, chocolate cake, daily dinner specials, and tex-mex specials, it can´t be beat. Throw in good coffee, teas, some import beers, and American soft drinks when available, it all adds up to comfort food, with some good conversation thrown in.
Oh, and the proceeds feed some street kids and their families. Two big thumbs up, as Ebert would say.

Dave and Kathy Doss do an excellent job with this small American style diner. The hamburgers are great and the soups are tasty. All baked goods are made fresh by the staff. My favorite item is the chocolate chip cookies.

Like you, there are many people who like our chocolate chip cookies. Our cinnamon rolls are a special treat as well!

Dave and his wife Kathy serve food common to Kansas and other central states, those tastes that can't be found elsewhere in Central America. He makes trips to the US to buy favorite foods that can't be found in Guatemala. I eat there two or three times a week, certainly for the food, but also for chats with friends.

Yes, Cafe Areopagus is a great place to have a cup of coffe or a meal and visit with friends. The music isn't too loud, but it's usually an eclectic mix.
