Staying at Finca Tatin has been one of the best places i've ever stayed at. It's quite a fun environment because you can play background music and dance the night way and for a jungle-style hotel, it has some great amendities for the tourists like a hot shower, a sauna, and showers, and hammocks for relaxation. Plus, the staff are very friendly and personable. I was writing in my journal, and Paolo, one of the staff members at Finca Tatin, was geniuely interested in hearing about my humanitarian trip experiences as I wrote them in my journal and was a good listener. Plus, you get to experience the old-fashioned way of washing your clothes by scrubbing them with your hands and hanging them on a clothesline, so even the old folks would like this place. Finca Tatin offers a lot of great activities, so all you have to do is just ask. You can get snacks, meals, and drinks at a very cheap price even in Guatemalan quetzales. Plus, as an added bonus, there's mosquito netting on your beds so that the bugs won't bite you and well, bug you, and your sheets get changed and cleaned every three days so they won't stink to high heaven. Plus, you can hear natural rainforest sounds to relax you without searching for artifical rainforest music on Youtube! Finca Tatin has been one of the most wonderful and unique hotel experiences I've ever had in Guatemala, so if you're looking to enjoy the jungle atmosphere, but have some tourist amendities, Finca Tatin is the place for you.
