The Medicinal Herb Garden at Maya Traditions is a great tour opportunity if you're traveling anywhere around Lake Atitlan. It's a quick tour (about an hour), that includes tea tasting, breath-taking views of the Lake (the garden is built up and into the hillside), and interesting and informative facts about the uses of medicinal herbs and the traditional ways of the Maya.

Maya Traditions’ garden offers a brilliant introduction to the age-old practice of Mayan herbal medicine. The garden sure is easy on the eye, but it also offers a peaceful get-away from the touristy bustle of the town centre. Our group was given a thorough introduction in the shade of this cute, little sanctuary. While their gardener introduces you to the medicinal plants, don’t forget to take a look at the spectacular view to the Lake Atitlán!!
