“Best Coffee in Pana”
Review of Crossroads Cafe

Crossroads Cafe
Ranked #1 of 4 Dessert in Panajachel
Certificate of Excellence
Description: This is one of the most popular coffee shops in Panajachel especially with the ex-pat population. Run by Michael, he finds, buys, roasts, grinds, and serves the best beans in Guatemala! And then washes the dishes and loves every minute of it. We hope to meet you soon over a cup of coffee and hear your story!

“Best Coffee in Pana”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Not only is the coffee good but you will not feel like a stranger when you walk through these doors! Oh and if you don't try their homemade cinnamon rolls then it's your loss as they are to die for! We love this family, especially after finding out that they were best friends with my brother-in-laws family. Small world. Just take a minute to get to known them and understand that it is a busy busy place. We took many pounds of coffee with us when we left

“Average coffee”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

We sourced this coffee shop because of the reviews and the recommendations we had read.

When we arrived the whole place was jam packed with people. We ordered two americanos and some cake. The coffee was in our opinion over roasted and just tasted very bitter. We did then notice that they had a variety of different beans on offer though when we ordered we weren't asked if we wanted one of those over the house blend. We just thought that the house blend would be better than what we had. As for the cake, its a shame that it was not home-made.

You will find better coffee at one of the cooperatives.

“Great coffee with a charismatic owner.”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

A place for great coffee in Panajachel. Close to the central market and owned by an amazingly energetic and charismatic American guy and his partner. He really knows his coffee and provides a wonderful service. Ask to see the secret room!

“Amazing!”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

This one of the most awesome places I've been ever! Mike, Adele(his wife) and their two daughters(Kasia and Lungi) are a wellspring of information, fun stories, craziness, hospitality, and above all love! I have found a place I can call my second home. They will make you feel blessed. They have probably the best coffee in Guat that I know of and if your lucky or ask, Mike will even show you how he does it and allow some of his coffee knowledge to rub of on you. Go visit them! You will not be left disappointed! You will leave uplifted and satisfied completely with a huge grin!!!

“best espresso in Guatemala”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

Mike is very knowledgeable about coffee, gave us good indications for future coffee related trips in Guatemala and served us an espresso as only the Italians are able to make.
