Review of Crossroads Cafe

Crossroads Cafe
Ranked #1 of 6 Dessert in Panajachel
Certificate of Excellence
Description: This is one of the most popular coffee shops in Panajachel especially with the ex-pat population. Run by Michael, he finds, buys, roasts, grinds, and serves the best beans in Guatemala! And then washes the dishes and loves every minute of it. We hope to meet you soon over a cup of coffee and hear your story!

It really says something when the locals - not expats, but real Guatemalans, recommend a place like Crossroads Cafe
I was in there quite frequently during my two week stay in Panajachel. Interesting to see that about 50% of the customers are not going into drink coffee, but to buy beans/ grounds.
Mike's been doing coffee for a long time and he seems to have developed a following from the real locals - Me Gusta 'Cafe Cross' was something I heard quite often!

Hi Nettie,
Thanks for coming so far to share a cup of coffee with us and for sharing your kind words. This is exactly what I wanted; for travelers to be able to meet the locals and vice versa.
Come back soon!!
Mike

The best coffee in Pana. The owner and his family are wonderful people to visit with as well. Make the stop, drink good coffee. Long live the bean.

We highly recommend Crossroads when you visit! The coffee smell is abundant and owner's daughter let us peak into coffee grinding room!

We were slightly disappointed with this cafe. We had thought it was a breakfast place as well. They roast and serve their own coffees, no decaf available. However, the cinnamon rolls were a hit.

This cafe has amazing cinnamon rolls, even better when you get them hot out of the oven! The owners are very friendly, and gave my kids a 'special price' on the cookies -- 3 for 10 quetzales (usually 10 quets each).
