We found Jenna's on trip advisor and her outstanding reviews sold it. There was nowhere else to stay! We do not like staying at resorts, and prefer somewhere where you can connect with local people and fellow travellers. This is another reason why we contacted Jen.
Jen exceeded our expectations! She is an amazing person, with so much personality, extremely friendly, funny, kind and helpful...An amazing host!
The rooms are lovely, all equipped with Jens artwork and local Mayan art/craft work. The house also having so much personality equipped with Jens travel memorabilia and art.
Jen is very knowledgable and is a wealth of good up to date information, and advised us on what to do, where to eat on our short 2 day trip to panajachel. We spent a day visiting local villages around he lake, ending up in a hot tub over looking the lake eating beautiful cuisine and drinking good wine. There are some very good restauramts in pana also.
But, why eat out when your host (Jen) is such an amazing cook, and makes the prefect mojito! Sit on the roof terrace and take in the sunsets over the lake. Beautiful!
Jens breakfasts are superb where everybody sits around the table like one big family, and share travel experiences. Everything is home cooked, the breakfasts are divine!!
The garden is huge and beautiful and You can tell that Jen is proud of this when she does the grand tour. Avocado and fruit trees etc...
Last but not least her 3 dogs, Cha Cha, Mitch and cheeky lovely little Sammy are lovely and so friendly. Jen let me take Sammy for a walk into the village. This adds to the homely experience that Jen creates. We cannot speak highly enough of you, your staff, dogs, and welcome to Guatemala for the first time - and we are sure to return.
We could go on all day.....Just stay at Jens and see for yourself...
