Yes, a true Belizean restaurant built on the water in sleepy Punta Gorda. Just blocks from Coral House and Blue Belize. The owner is the real deal and a helluva chef with Belizean ingredients.
He's won a number of the top chef competitions in Placencia against the big hotel guys...quite the feat.
Fresh seafood comes out of the tiny kitchen in a timely manner and it's tasty with a lot of side dish choices on a daily basis depending on his shopping schedule and availability.Big deck on the ocean while he builds his own home next door on the ocean. He's committed!
Fun and best thing to eat for me was the Lion Fish Fingers...great way to save the reef (as they are a terrible invasive species) and enjoy good lightly fried filets. Usually not a fried fan of anything, but eating the little devils was sweet justice as the fish is really assisting in the destruction of the reef as we've known it. Good local music is the additional bonus, LIVE most nights.
