“Secluded Paradise”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

My stay at Sabal Beach was relaxing, re-energizing, and restorative. David and Wayne have created a pristine strip of paradise surrounded by the beauty and bounty of Belize. Enjoying a cold cocktail during sunset seemed to always invite the sky to clear, compelling the stars to engulf the dark night with their endless sparkle. I would recommend this eco resort for those who are looking for a unique and tranquil escape.

Dillon - I just realized I never responded to your review but thank you for taking the time to write about your stay here at Sabal Beach. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Honduras this winter. I know you like to hit up different places but if you are ever looking to head to Belize again hopefully we will see you here.

My stay at Sabal Beach was peaceful and restorative. It is such a beautiful place--wonderful for anyone who is looking to get away from it all and connect with nature. The beach and wildlife are stunning. This is a great choice for a get away for anyone who is self sufficient and looking to truly unplug.

We had a really great time in Sabal Beach! We stayed there for five days and we found exactly what we were looking for: a paradise beach only for us. There is nothing else around there, no stores or restaurants or other houses (except for the hosts'). This is the perfect place to forget about the world, see the sunset from the deck with a glass of wine, the sky full of stars at night from your hammock and fall asleep with the sound of the waves. There is plenty of nature to see around: the house is just in between the jungle and the sea. You can see a lot of birds from the beach and if you are really lucky (as we were) see a manatee while you are kayaking!!! There are also some tours that you can arrange with local guides. We went to snorkel to the coral reef (around 1 hour trip by boat) and although it's a little bit expensive we would totally recommend it. The hosts, David and Wayne, were great. They gave us a lot of intimacy but they were also really nice and helpful. We enjoyed a lot our interaction with them.

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts. We have had a number of guests see manatee from the dock but you two remain the only ones who were able to get close with the kayaks! We enjoyed having you both and hope to see you again in the future.
