We're visiting Toledo again in 2013 and Coleman's is on our "must do" list. They make a great lunch stop after a morning of birding at Lubaatun or Nim Li Punit.

We have vacationing in Belize for 9 years. This past June was our first time to go to the Toledo district and visit the ruins there. Even though we know better we didn't plan ahead and take our own food. At 2 in the afternoon Coleman's was the only place we could find food on the Southern Hwy but we were glad that was the case. The food was tasty and Coleman sat with us while we ate and gave us lots of info on the area. The place is really cute with some live birds for entertainment.

Coleman's has been in business for a while. The food and service has always been top of the line. This is the place to sample traditional Belizian food at its best.

Coleman's is just great and serves seriously good hearty local food. We ate here several times during our stay in the Toledo District and were extremely satisfied each time. The owners are friendly and attentive and really know how to cook tasty and substantial food. Add to this great value for money and you simply cannot go wrong eating at Coleman's Cafe.

We stopped in at Coleman's Cafe after receiving a recommendation from the attendant at the Mayan historic site at Nim Li Punit. The cafe is just off of the highway. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and quickly shown to our tables. They had a buffet the day that we were there; rice, beans, coleslaw, plantains, stewed chicken and stewed beef. The food was great!! Make sure to try their pepper sauce!
